You could always get 1-2 big presents, and then just fill out the smaller ones for horses that you got for 2500, like flashy show ponies that are still foals.

If you don't want much white on a horse at all, then sure. Het sabino doesn't show up much by itself. Here's an example of a het sabino, no other kit or white genes:

For a black based horse, only S+ (and to some degree, sooty) and silver seem to have an effect on dapples. For red based horses dp does, but dp only effects red hair.
