Story first
I know a few of you have spouses that also play the game but the majority of us play it alone.
Well last night I was talking about my pastures for December when all of the sudden my SO piped up and asked of HE could "make a horse." He knows absolukty nothing about this game and looks super confused whenever I talk about it but does his best to listen and ask questions
I asked if he meant breed one from my stock or create one from the HH. He super excitedly asked to breed one. So I pulled up 2 tabs with my breedabke mares and my breedable stallions.
He said he wanted to pick which horses without restriction. I told him that was fine but I wouldn't let him breed my in pasture ladies or a lethal combination (he was horrified that Ammit "created" lethal genes :)) )
Well he ended up picking one of my foundation mares that I have never used. A silver buckskin. I think she's hideous (sorry silver buckskin lovers) then he picked one of my best 4th gen stallions. He's liked this colt since I showed it to him when he was "born"

I showed him how to breed a horse in house and i swear I've never seen a grown man as excited about a fantasy baby horse in my entire life (probably because that the first time I've even seen that but...)

The baby's image finally loaded and omg guys he was so happy I just have to show everyone his pride and joy pony. He named his Sasstiel (samXcastiel shippers) and look 15 minutes to pick the Colts halter and background and said that when he turns 2 he gets to "dress him up." And I am under no circumstances allowed to sell this colt or to "cut his tail off, that's mean"

I think I'm going to make this a new monthly thing :) it will help me have at least one decent show pony as well as let my partner see how this game can be so exciting!

Awesome. He is gorgeous. He did very well for his first pairing. He is adorable. Mine looks like ok yada yada when I talk about this game.
My oldest wants to do this game. He just turned 13.

Lucky you - my husband just rolls his eyes. In all fairness, I roll my eyes at him whenever he talks about a game he is into, so I guess we are even. :)

How fun! I occasionally ask my partner to pick between two names, when I can't decide which stallion to use, or help me make up a name. She thinks its pretty hilarious!

@BF I thi k it's be really fun if your son joined! Though I think there's a 16+ age limit on the game so you'd have to make sure it's okay with Ammit first

@RipshinCreekFarm there's days where he's less interested than others. This was the first time he's ever wanted to truly interact with the game.

@Crystal93 he was surprisingly okay with it. He said that in order for the colt to stay in my barn he had to have the snip but without a tail meant he wouldn't be able to swish flies away, and that's just cruel (because pixel ponies worry about flies)

@ParadisePark he chuckled the entire time he was typing the name in. He thought he was pretty clever.

@Confluence in the passed he's helped me name a lot of horses. One of my favourites is a stud called "FlabbaGhastADingDong" I have no idea what the inspiration for that was. I also have him help me pick between stallions sometimes. Most of the time he has no idea what I'm talking about and just guesses

That's how I actually got my partner @wayfarer into the game haha!

He's pretty quiet and tends to do his own thing, I think he's trying to breed the shortest, smallest, fattest horses he can with DP? I'm not 100% sure what he's up to, but I see him playing in the corner of my eye every now and then :)

He gets excited to name my horses too, and sometimes names some of the babies random names to see if I spot them.

@Bourbon Shetland ponies! :)) my partner did play the game for a short time but then we moved last year and hes been to busy working since then to play. Maybe someday I'll get him back into it. I love it when he named my horses for me. They make no sense
