On November 22, 2015 I joined the hunt and jump community of the second server.

I'm almost at my show bonus goal: You earn a 99,715 hb's daily bonus from showing. I should have my 100k by tomorrow and I couldn't have done this without so many members giving me great advice and participating in fun contests.

Everyone was so welcoming and helpful from the start, and I really believe this hasn't changed a bit so I want to give back to this amazing community.

For non upgraded members with accounts younger than two months I am giving away a 6yo Nanotech Primer rank special stallion. This rank special has only been released once and despite the varnish he is a handsome fellow that will produce exceptionally beautiful foals.

RS Scorpio Races

For non upgraded members with accounts older than two months I am giving away a Basic Member Upgrade. A 375,000 hbs value.

For basic and premium upgraded members with accounts of any age I am giving away a three Barns* and the option to pick any generation stallion and mare to receive a straw and egg from.
*At this moment in time, the barns will be 60 stalls, a 250,000 hbs value, but this is subject to change upon the closing date to a larger barn. I may even add another 60 stall barn to be given away to a second winner depending on demand.

But wait, there's more! I will be gifting out Rank Special horses periodically as well as straws from my stallions. Some of the bloodlines are in house* only but, for the special occasion, I will be letting them out into the public.
*If the stallion has a restricted gene, Ice13 or Plaid or Watercolor etc., I will not be gifting the straw to a member that cannot use it.

Since all good things must come to an end, I will announce the contest winners on December 1st. At the end of the celebration, I will be sending out goodies to everyone who posted on the thread.

Reason - Like CWS I love owning this many horses and I can't wait to breed every new year. I love seeing the foals. Watching my herd grow and hopefully getting better each generation. The people are lovely. Also I like to organize all my barns. :)

Favorite Reason for Playing: I love this game because its realistic and makes you think, and it really helps with learning genetics! Plus it helps with money skills because if you want a certain thing you have to sell horses and save money etc.. Favorite Reason for Playing: My favorite part is that the only way to win is to reach your own goals! Then you set new ones! I LOVE that everyone can play at their own speed. I like the fact that you can do really well if you play by planning for the long term, but the short term rewards are fun, too!

Favorite Reason For Playing: I was a big fan of the game Howrse growing up until it became a full time job having to click three million buttons for every horse I had (which was several hundred) What I love most is that it's like Howrse except you don't have to try and communicate with 5 years olds and you don't have to drop out of school to have time to play it! And the genetic part of it is beyond amazing. I have always loved learning about genetics and why something is a certain color etc, not to mention the amazing community on haj. I could go on forever with a list of why I love this game but I'll stop here for everyone's sake. :)

Favorite Reason for Playing: Originally I started playing because I'm a complete horse genetics geek, and I simply love crossing different horses to get wild and wacky colours. Then I met the community and it is full of amazing people. With this all mixed together it got me through the last year of university which was incredibly tough for me.

Favorite Reason for Playing: My biggest reason for playing is that this game is my "escape" from real life. I have ADD and anxiety really bad. Trying to do one thing for a certain period of time is really hard for me and yet this game has so many opportunities in it (tack, naming horses, breeding horses, tattoos...). There's so much for me to do and I never get frustrated like I do with real life activities. I always get on after work, whether it was a hard day or not just because this is a community of people I don't feel anxious around (even though it's only through typing). This is the only online game I have ever stuck with for more than a month. I tried so many other games and none of them really grabbed me. The only other horse game I liked was on facebook and it eventually died out and I couldn't play anymore. I have played this game for over 2 years now and I absolutely love it!

For all fairness, I typed each name in order of posting and placed a number beside it. For example: Salvistar is number 1, KAMRanch is number 2, etc. down to NorthernStars at number 16. Then I used googles random number generator (min, max) to generate the winners.

Favorite Reason for Playing: genetics. Lol yep I'm.one of those. I used to do punnet squares for fun, trying to guess coat colors when my friends mom bred her dogs. I devoured dog breed encyclopedias and then moved to horses (big dogs lol). So its a game I can play on my own time, its fascinating, and its fun. I love planning my pasture and seeing what babies I make and how close I can guess.

Favorite Reason for Playing: I played way back when there was only one server and loved it, but then as it often does, life got in the way. I needed to focus more on school work, so I liquidated my barns in 2011-2012. I never forgot how awesome the community was and how exciting the genetics were. When I rejoined in April, my original plan was just to see how much the game had changed. That quickly shifted to "I think I'm gonna stay" thought, because even though there are new genes and whatnot, the people are still the same.

Favorite Rank Special(s): I love my Nanotech and Rythm of Four stallions and Kings Ransom mare. The RS that I don't currently own, but love are Silver Pocket Watch, and Vault of Stars.

I first found this game when I was 15 and had no idea how to play it even though I really wanted too. I refound the game again 2 weeks after I turned 20 and have played it ever since. This game had seen me through some pretty tough times as well as some some of my greatest times. I consider a lot of you as friends :)

Favorite Reason for Playing: I came for the horses and the genetics aspect. I've played other similar games before, but they were no where near as good as this one. I stayed for the community. Everyone here is great. I haven't been able to help out as much as I want to, yet, but I know I'll get there eventually.

Favorite Reason for Playing: I admit, when I first joined, I think I ticked off every one of the "what not to do" boxes. I didn't find the forum right away and just made a handful of horses until I was almost broke (took all of 10 minutes). I sat there, staring at the screen thinking: "is that it?" I was fully ready to spend the rest of my money and move on to something else. Then, I won a 25k lottery on the last create with my starting money. Then, I found the forum and got my welcome pack and started to get a sense of the game. What has kept me here (and *mildly* hooked) has been a combination of the "choose your own adventure" mindset of the game, the community (as many have said) and the collaborative rather then competitive nature of the game. Ack - this has gotten way too long - sorry! But, I think most of all, it's the element of mystery that surrounds much of the genetics. For instance, I loved trying to piece together how the appaloosa gene worked.
