Showing profit?
-
Ok. So 1 week in time is a real week in time right?
My stable keeps saying I am profiting so much a week then there is a net profit of - $. Am I loosing every week? It's almost 2k. How do you make your stable profitable? -
I was wondering about that too. I'm making a net profit of -$ too.
-
I have over 8900 points and i have a -425 net profit but i make a extra 6700hbs from showingLife is Special live it to your fullest
-
The horse i have with the higest points is named Maeves Mark with 884 pointsLife is Special live it to your fullest
-
I think the net profit only counts the money spent and made on showing. I don't think it counts the weekly bonus, so if the bonus is bigger than the negative profit, there's that, at least. :P
-
Your showing profit essentially doesn't matter.
Each time you enter a horse in a show, it makes a profit if it places (I think) in the top half of its class. But, the same horse is accruing points each time it shows, unless it places dead last.
The points that your show herd accumulates are what matters. Above your profit for the week it will say "You earn a XXX hb's weekly bonus from showing." That's where you make your money from your show horses, and that's why you keep a large show string and show everything that isn't in your pastures.
That said, you can go through and monitor how your show ponies are doing via a link at the bottom of your barn's page. If you have a horse that's showing dead last or very close to it at every show, it may be worth it to cull that horse, especially if they don't have a lot of points and are already leveled off (will not go to higher show levels).
Hope that helps! -
So the net profit doesn't include the weekly show bonus?
-
No, that's just the pure profit and loss from each individual show you entered this week (though I'm not sure if it calculates from a week prior to today's date or whatever Sunday to Sunday week you're in).
-
Really? Woohoo! I thought I was still losing money every week with my show bonus...
-
It's calculated on a week ago from the date and time, because I've had it change based on when I showed the week before. :PThanked by 1Abbey Road

It also takes a while for the profit to go from negative to plus. I thought the same thing that I was putting out more has than I was gaining. But I was still ahead because of the showing bonus. It is exciting when it does switch from negative to plus.
-
Yeah. Well, I need it to go way higher still to support my breeding habit....
-
Ok. Cool. Thanks. I was like man I am gonna be broke and have to quit in a couple weeks. Lol
