Happy Halloween! I hope yours was merry and bright. I am holding a contest for a total of 30 free straws from any of my stallions (winners' choices). Contest will run until November 5 at 11:59 PM game time (Eastern).

Why? I love Halloween and I want to know how my HaJ family celebrated!

First prize: fifteen straws
Second prize: ten straws
Third prize: five straws

To enter, guess a number between 1 and 100. I will use a number generator and the closest number gets first prize. In the case of a tie in both directions, (i.e. The number is 22 and one player guesses 20, another guesses 24) all tied players will win that prize level. Any stallion of mine is eligible, including Rank Specials.

For a bonus egg surprise from my Rank Special Mares, tell me your Halloween costume (or what you wanted to dress up as if you were not able to celebrate). Didn't dress up? Describe the best costume you saw. Bonus points for what you dressed your pets up as : ) Be creative and detailed with your description. Don't forget your ID number!
NOTE: If you don't have an upgrade, you can get an alternate prize of a horse. We will work something out!

I dressed up as an injured rider waiting for her next show class. I put my western show shirt and belt on, my show cowboy boots, and my knee braces over my pumpkin leggings (okay, they were PJ bottoms). I then hobbled around with my walker. Due to my angry joints with this cold, wet weather, I couldn't put anything fun over my angry knees today. So, I built my costume around my medical equipment! My service dog was dressed as a pea pod, and her canine "sister" wore a devil costume. She tried to eat both costumes.

My family dressed up as four decades worth of rock. The boy child was 60s John Lennon, the hubby was 70s Steve Tyler ( but he looked more Axl Rose to me) the girl child was 80s Cyndi Lauper and I was 90s Dave Grohl. People loved it!

I had to work on Halloween :'( I got home at 9:30 in the evening and decided to just do my makeup anyways. I wore it for a whole 5 minutes before washing my face. At least I got to have some candy while at work. After I took my makeup off I basically just went to bed... Not exactly a fun-filled, eventful Halloween. but I suppose that's part of adulting, lol.

I didn't dress up but took my boys trick or treating. My oldest son was a pirate and my youngest was a zombie football player. I did their makeup for them. My little dog was superman. I enjoyed just watching their faces light up. Next year I plan to be acting blind and instead of a seeing eye dog I am gonna dress my Shetland pony up as my seeing eye dog.

I didnt get to dress up. Cutest customs I saw was a little girl as a jockey riding her great dane who was dressed as a stallion about to run a race:-)

I didn't dress up this year as I'm too old for trick or treating and don't have any kids but I think my favorite costume was when I was 4 1/2 and dressed up as Madonna, my costume was a green and black skirt with matching top and wrist gloves, it was all hand made by my mother, she used to make both my brothers and i' s costumes when we were kids, miss those days they were definitely some of the best days of my life

My friend and I went out as our astrological signs. I'm a gemini so we did the right half of my face with barely any makeup (just foundation and some light eye makeup) and a nude lipstick on the right side of my lips. For my left side my friend helped me do an intense smokey eye and other heavy eye makeup, lots of contouring, and for my lips we got creative. I don't have black lipstick, so we used eyeliner and painted the left half of my lips. For my hair we pulled the hair on the right side of my head over to the left (kind of made me look angsty) and used lots of hairspray.
I tried to put my cat in a pumpkin shirt, but she got mad at me and scratched me up a whole lot.

I don't celebrate anymore sadly as I just don't do any holidays but the last time I did I went as an abused nurse. I did my own makeup and everyone asked me if I had really been beaten up :)

This year I was "Sexy Vegeta" From Dragon Ball Z. It was very much a joke for those who don't know DBZ. Haystack was the grand wizard from "The Worst Witch" and PFP was both a dinosaur (warm costume) and KiKi from "Kiki's Delivery Service"

I didn't dress up this year because its illegal to trick or treat over the age of 16...

Buuuttt... in 5th grade in elementary school, I dressed up as a box of puppies. Like someone had dropped off a box of puppies. I had a huge cardboard box with suspenders clipped to it. I wrote "Free Puppies" real big on the front. I had a headband with floppy puppy ears that my mom made. I had a black t-short on and little black mittens for paws. I had some stuffed animals dogs fastened to the box beside me

I had to ride in the back of my moms SUV because I got tired of taking the box on and off when we drove to new stores and areas.

This year I was a Deviled Egg. A dog stepped on my cape, my friends stepped on my cape. I'm short.
Anyways, it was great it made many people laugh so that's pretty good!

I didnt dress up this year but I saw a person dressed up as a starbucks barista and their dog was a 'pugkin spice latte'. I did dress my cat up as a duck though. She hated it so much.
@BlackStarEquine @WolfgangPride its illegal to trick or treat here after 12 years old. I dont agree with the rule at all.

I did my last minute costume of cat ears and drew on a few whiskers. We had a Halloween luncheon party at work and then I passed out candy to kids at a church Halloween carnival.

Here are ALL my stallions, including the RS above. My naming key:

ExPro: Exceptional Producer.

ExPer: Exceptionally Perfect

TNP: Top Notch Producer

TX: the horse has Appaloosa. Look at the horse's genes to determine hom or het Lp status.

PF: Perfect Foundation. They either went through the Foundation Rescue, or have a Perfect Foundation tattoo.

Horses that are lined will have their gen in their name. 2G or G2 means second gen. 4G or G4 means fourth gen. If a lined horse does not say MIX in the name, it should be evenly bred for the indicated generation.

I try to make sure ANY horse with an uneven pedigree has "MIX" in the name. I use these horses for show foals. If you chose them, be aware they are less likely to give you intact foals.

ALL breeding stallions should have gene testing completed. Please tell me if you find one who is not.

Enjoy your search! Most of my finest stallions are foundation generation, but I have a few nice G2s, too.
