Any interest in Mr. Meteoric grandson?
-
Well, I just bred this guy, and I honestly have no idea how he's a draft :)) I don't breed for drafts, so I decided to see if anyone wanted to make an offer on him

Haha I had the same thing happen to me and got told; "There is always a range of potential results with any breeding, and in this case, his dam's bone density of 2.22 helped push his bone density just high enough (2.52) to make him a draft. If he's intact and you plan on breeding him, choosing mares with a bone density closer to 1.5 would make it more likely for him to sire a warmblood and not draft foals."
Hope that helps! Shame cause he is gorgeous :-)) -
I would be interested! How much would you be asking for him?
-
Not only is the dam 2.22, but the dad is 2.48. The cut off for draft is 2.50. I would't be surprised if this combo threw even higher bone densities if you repeat.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
@Waldgraf, I honestly have no idea :)) I don't know how much he'd be worth
@Maya and @ObsidianKitsune, I knew the sire was almost a draft, but since his dam is sort of close to 2.0, I thought he'd just be on the heavier side of a wb! :))
