This art contest will close at the end of the month.

Want to create some art for the game? I am holding a contest for the best new fall themed background images.

::RULES::
You must post below with an image that is exactly 500 X 333 pixels and .png format.
It must compliment the art style of the game.
It must be digitally painted/drawn by you. Absolutely NO photo manipulation.
Make sure horses look correct on this background, if they look strange floating awkwardly I won't use it.
You must be the sole creator of the art work.
No copying any copyrighted designs. Create something unique.
I will select as many or as few winners from both servers as I want to use on the site.
Only fall themed creations will be accepted.

::Like someones entry? Vote for it by hitting "thanks" on their post.

Winners will each get one copy of a new RAINBOW RIOT gene.

Please note that I have moved the end date of this to October 27th so people have time to buy the gene if they don't win it here.

Are we to draw the horses as well?
Or are we allowed to use one from here?
(Should note that I mean when showing examples that the horses don't float)

You will not be showing any examples with a horse. Just provide the the background image. I will be checking the horses myself. :)

Am I allowed to use a website with stickers? Or must it all be hand drawn? (I don't draw very well lol)

@ColorGoodStables You need to use the non mobile view of the forum to give thanks at the moment. You can pick that option on your phone.

@OakCreek13 Sorry this contest is only for people who draw well. If you do not create it 100% yourself it means you legally arn't allowed to transfer copyright ownership to me which means I can not use anything you submit. We have lots of contests that don't require art skills but this one does.

Does anyone have a recommended image hosting website? I've used flickr so far, but the pictures don't tend to automatically resize in forum posts.

You may not use a photograph in anyway shape or form (other then reference). It does not mater if the software has photo in the name.

Guys you are getting kinda nuts with the questions here. Does it fit the art style of the game? Did you draw it? If yes to both it's fine to enter. If you want to post an an example of something you are working on I can help you from there but all these hypotheticals are just getting silly.

Mine is ready I think. I only need some time to check out how horses look on it and make some improvements if needed.

I'm really curious how other designs will look like :)

I feel your pain, ColourWorld. I only have a mouse to work with on my PC. Painting or drawing with a mouse is not conducive to good work.

@Pinestables and RiverStone Great work! Both are like things I see in the fall here in northern PA.

Love both the works up so far! Pine Stables and River Stone, I bow to your artistic abilities! I particularly like the low gray sky in River Stone’s...definitely evokes that “time to get inside by the fire” feeling I think of when I think a Northern Hemisphere autumn. Pine I love that your clouds look wind driven, like it’s one of those days when you know when you get up in the morning half the leaves will be gone from the trees.
