    So I just found out that this guy is hom snowflake! So I'm curious where the snowflake came from on the dam side. Mr Meteoric, or just happened to be on my Conversation Hearts RS mare? Just curious if anyone else has any snowflake offspring from their Mr Meteoric foals.

    It is possible for Snowflake to be hidden on created horses, even ones that don't carry Llp. So, either of his grandparents on the dam's side could be the source. I don't think there's any way to tell, short of having another descendant of one or the other of them show up Snowflake as well.

    I do wonder, though, what tells you that he's homozygous snowflake. I'm not seeing the sign of it in the very few smallish colored spots he has.

    I was able to enter him into the snowflake breeders club, and only hom snowflakes can enter. I didn't realize it either until I went to enter my other snowflake colt in the club and saw his name too.

    I knew that it could show up in random creates, I was just wondering if anyone else had gotten any from their Meteoric Milestone offspring. Not that it's important, just curiousity on my part. :)

    I still haven't bred the mare I used for my Mr Meteoric straw this season, so I may breed her to a hom snowflake stallion just to see, although it would be a toss up of course, even if she was het snowflake.

    Wow that's so awesome. Yea Mr Meteroric could have the hidden gene or the RS grand dam. It's hard to tell. But there are quite a few RS that I know of that have the hidden snowflake gene so I'm guessing it came from her

    Thanks everyone. I know there are lots of Mr Meteoric babies out there so I figured someone may have gotten some snowflakes from him too, if he were the carrier. :)
