So I got this mare.. really want to get rid of her, but I'm fascinated by her score. Lol is there any hope for her as anything or should I cut my losses? Has anyone seen a worse score than this?!

I have heard of horses having negative PT scores @-) but the lowest PT score I have had is 0.3 or 0.4

She may make a good breeder if she is the colour you are after :)
PT doesn't reflect how good of a breeder a horse is :D
I had a girl who was 0.4 points =))

Yes I forgot to add that she could make a great breeder and her PT score should not effect the PT scores of her foals to much. My mare had a really low PT like 0.3 score but her foal had 9.3 PT score and the sire had 9.9 PT

AS1 Alhena TNP

The lowest PT I have seen was mine at 0.2. Nevermind Doris fainting, I nearly died myself considering she is a TNP! I wasn't expecting it but that was before I knew breeding and PT weren't linked in that way. I have a couple of 0.3 and 0.5 that have given 10.0 foals. Pasture boost helped I think. She's very pretty though. Give her a go ;)

0.2 PT is the lowest I've seen :)

I meant to add that Alhena, went on to produce a 10.7 via unbalanced breeding.

I think I had a 0.2 broodmare at one point. She made a decent mama, so she lived in the pasture and made babies.

As others have said, PT is not indicative of breeding ability, especially in Foundations. If she passed BA/SBA and she's a color you love, I would give her a chance.

If you have a culling strategy for your foals, I would hold her to that strategy same as any of your other mares.

That said, some horses in the game really are just duds in all respects. Because she has such a low PT, BA may keep her intact with a quite low breeding ability. If her first foal tests markedly below what you would expect from the stallion you choose and any other decent quality mare with little or no pasture bonus, I would be inclined to cut my losses and find a similarly colored mare from the Foundation Rescue.

Wow! I think that's my lowest too. Lol. I know there's one person who prefers them and say they produce better, but they aren't and more or less likely to.

Lowest I've seen is 0.2, I think. Good producer, but was nothing special.

0.2 is the lowest Ive seen...even had a 0..2 mare that produced
10+ PT foals..

My lowest mare is a 0.3

Unusual Suspects All 3 of her babies have a 10+PT the sires of her foals had 9.9PT and 10.4PT I'd keep her she'll probably produce good babies

Haha, yeh I've had a few 0.2, I don't think I've had lower? Obviously she isn't going to be a good shower for you but she might be a good breeder!

BTW, I love the true silver brown duns, so I'd give your mare a chance, too many foals with PT under 9.5 I'd be concerned though

I have had a 0.2 who tested to be a better show horses then breeding horse, needless to say she got yummed.

I've had a few 0.2s. This girl is currently my lowest with 0.4 and she's an exceptional producer! Go figure!
