Does PT score effect showing?

  • PT score is a measure of how well a horse will train, and so, how high up the ladder of showing levels it can climb. Generally speaking, the higher the PT, the better a horse will be at showing. Additionally, neutered horses train for a game year longer before leveling off and reaching a plateau in their show scores.

If this is a horse that you don't wish to add to your breeding stock, by all means geld him and put him into a show barn (if you have a barn solely for show stock). At any rate, hang onto him for showing. And even if you keep him intact, show him.

  • Pt usually equates to the age the horse levels off. So he would level off around age 11 :)
Edit: Well i've seen other players talk about pt and age being semi related :P
