Wild bay, Hom sooty, probably has DP too! She's gorgeous!ID: 16853
-
Wow I really really love her color. Yes she is very dark! Drool** :x
-
All horses seem way darker than they really are on my kindle but she seemed super dark. I appreciate the second opinions.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.

I've thought many times that wild bay creates carried DP, but I think they might just be lacking the red highlights that regular bays have.
-
It is the Hom Sooty interaction with the wild bay. No Dp. Dp will turn her ketchup red with the sooty!
Still gorgeous though! And a rare find! You are so lucky

Breeder of KitM, W10, W3, Livers, Chocolates, Brown, S+, Pearl, Macchiato, Nexus, and WaterColor!Thanked by 1ObsidianKitsune -
She is Wild bay , and has 2 out of 4 sooty genes. so if she has 2 sty, she has no DP. 3or 4 sooty genes make them blood red almost.ID #21047
-
Oh yea I forgot about them turning ketchup red DP with sooty that's right. Cheers showed us a bunch of picture of horses that are wild bay with DP and sooty and they are bright red
-
That's what I thought. Thanks folks, now to figure where to put her in my (way too many) herds.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.

Remember.. WildBay is dominant over the other two bays. So when you breed her and she passes on her wildbay the foals will be spectacular! If you want that milk chocolate colour always breed her with hom sooty stallions!

Oh I leap on sooty everything when I can. I'm thinking of giving her a turn with my liver fuel to the fire to see what comes out.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.

Thank you Timber I must see, I must see lol :)

This is a link to the DP wild bay conversation, if that helps you with breeding choices. Definitely just a Sooty wild bay girl, but I love that color!

Oh I appreciate that, @cheers. I was trying to find that thread but couldn't to save my life.
I got a boy that looks almost like her out of one of the horses you sold me.
