Why Can I Not Add Kit M?

I bought this mare and her sire has White M but when I tried to GMT white M onto her there was to White M option. The right and the left gene option was Kitw20. Why can I not put the White M on her? Here is a link to the mare. Thanks in advance for any help :)

You have to click the sire's side Kitw20 button and then it gives you the option to change it to kitM :)Thanked by 1Foxwood

Oh ok my mind is blown that seems like such an easy awnser that I would have never come up with lol. It's my first time GMTing a horse so I'm not completely sure what I'm doing yet but its coming togther. Thanks so the help!

As Kalilm said, don't worry about it. It's a mistake other new GMTers have made before you. There aren't many detailed instructions for the lab, so it tends to be a trial and error process the first time.
Just remember that in genetic notation, the sire's contribution is always placed on the left of the pair, and the dam's on the right. If you keep that in mind, you'll always get it right.
In addition, what is posted below the horse's image in the lab is always the alleles it is carrying, not all the variations available. You have to select the gene and allele that you wish to alter to see what possibilities are available to you.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
