Selling foals and 2 year olds feeling bad
-
Do you all feel bad about selling the foals and 2 year olds? I need hbs to buy Ivs for another barn and another basic upgrade?
How do you do it? I just feel like I will put a great gem in there for sale? I don't like auctioning much either. -
I made my primary pasture strictly for selling the foals at auction.
-
I have a 90 stall barn just for auction horses. In a big breeding season I can easily fill it twice a week for auction. I am pretty darned strict with myself when it comes to culling, and I seldom sell (or buy) foals, except via the auction. I have a feeling that you are a much sweeter person than I am, though, @best friend! :p
-
Not at all because the ones I sell are inferior to the ones I keep and I only want to keep the best that I can.
-
That's actually why I started TimberRescue. A lot of people do get attached to their horses, even the seemingly inferior ones. Also a lot of times, hidden gems do get thrown away (done it once or twice myself only to realize what I did later).
I got some pretty ones this time around and had to bite the bullet hard on snipping and auctioning them. I can't rescue my own horses lol.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.
Striving to become a quality Draft breeder.
