He is gorgeous. I have 1 herd of plain Flaxen Liver Chestnut and 1 I started that is going to be Liver Chestnut with flare. I'm adding things like splash, and a few white genes, appaloosa, and anything else that I can get my hands on. Here are just a few. My plain Flaxen Liver chestnut line right now is in gen 3 so I'm actually culling anything that's not homo DP in that line.
I just love homo DP. I'm hoping down the road to be able to pull out and make just a chocolate Palomino line. I just love sharing and talking and looking at them. Your dark boy is just amazing.

What makes the manes and tails that orange color instead of the lighter pale color? I know they're both caused by flaxen but I don't know what makes the two flaxen colors so different. I got a lovely flaxen black liver filly from my w8 stud and her mane and tail are a lot less bright than the orange flaxen ones. I won't normally keep 2G red mares from boosted lines intact since I expect them to be Blue if both parents are ex pro but I'm going to have to make an exception for her since she's so pretty. Although she's not from pasture breeding so I guess red isn't too bad. Or maybe I'll move her to my regular foundation lines instead of the boosted ones.

If I remember correctly a long time ago Ammit said the color of the mane and tail is simply chance. You can reroll them and it could change color. I tried it one one of my stallions before because I wanted a silver mane and tail. It took a few times but I got it.

So many beauties there @fj1482 especially your foals for this year - just love that splash butt tail against the liver. I'm hoping this little dude will contribute nicely to my liver and chocolate lines.

I agree the shade of flaxen seems random, I have this boy from last year - got the corn yellow shade after a couple of rerolls:

I love all these livers! There are two colors that get me all excited, liver and chocolate. I have to controle myself or all my lines would be DP. When I first started my Prodigious line, plain flaxen chestnut, I had 100 mares and two stallions. It was crazy and out of control rofl
