Came home to find my 14 year old dog Gracie dead in our road. She got hit tonight. I have her daughter but Gracie was my baby.

So very sorry for your loss. It's always difficult to lose a pet, but even more so when we've created such a strong bond as you had with Gracie. My thoughts are with you.

I feel bad for her daughter Etta. She laid right beside her as we dug her grave tonight. She doesn't want to come in. I understand why she has been with her mom everyday. My oldest son is hurting. Never easy for the kids.

I'm so sorry losing a pet is always horrible, especially when it's one that you had such a strong bond with. :( At least she got to live a long and happy life with a family that she knew loved her very much, and you got to spend many wonderful years together. It sounds like she was an important part of your family for a very long time and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear! At least she had a good life. Pets are better than friends in many cases, and is hard to let them go, especially when you don't expect it. Prayers for you, your on and Etta. The relationship between her and her mother is so sweet and heartbreaking, like a fairy tale. Prayers for all of you. Wish you comfort.
