Courtesy warning about Auction Horses
  • I have placed my older horses in the auction because they will most likely pass out of the game at the beginning of the new breeding season. While some of these horses are well papered and some have good show points, there is a good chance that when the game turns over on Tuesday night, these horse will pass out of the game. I am posting this as a courtesy warning for the newer players that might see the horses and think they are getting a bargain. Please don't bid on these horses, most likely it would be a loss of money and a horse in less than 24 hours.

  • Buying the old horses is basically like gambling. If you buy an old high pointed show horse and it survives rollover, you got a good deal but if it passes away at rollover you pretty much wasted your money since rollover is in a few days. I may risk bidding on several of the high pointed ones if I'm feeling lucky that day, but I could end up losing hbs if they pass away at rollover. Depending on what the high bid is and how many points the horse has, it might be worth the risk or it might not. The choice is up to you. Thanks for posting the warning though, I don't think some of the new players know what age the old horses could potentially start dying at so it's very helpful.
  • Horses start dying when they turn 18 by the way, meaning that any horse currently 17 or older may cross the great Pixellated Rainbow Bridge to heaven on rollover between the 30th of June and the first of July.
  • Does the game tell you when one of your horses passes away at rollover or do they just disappear from your barn?
  • The game tells you in the notification area.
