Yay, I bought the 10 pack of GMT tokens! I have already successfully put on one copy of KP to this girl

1G Star Stripe Q

If you were in my shoes what would you do next? Save the rest for some unkown date on some other horse?
Make her homo KP?
Add other genes.
Some I have considered
Frame ( I like the frames, I have more than I thought I did but still not a lot)
Rabicano (not that hard to breed in, but it'd be nice to have all of this on one horse)
kitm (Was surprised by how expensive this was does anyone know why?)
kit something (she only has 1 kit please correct me if I'm wrong)

Any other suggestions?

Aha, well, if you're going to have KP on a horse, I think two kit genes would be best, since it needs two to express. another Tobiano gene should be cheap enough...

But can her kids have two if I breed her to a stallion with two? So will it show up on her foals? Not too worried about her as I bet you couldn't see it anyway

Only Hom KP will show.
No KP + No KP = 0% KP
Het + No KP = 50% Het 50% No KP
Het + Het = 25% Hom 50% Het 25% No KP
Hom + Het = 50% Hom 50% Het
Hom + Hom = 100% Hom.

With Het + Het in order the get Hom KP I think it parents would have to be: N KP, KP N (N representing No KP) Or vice versa as each foal has a chance of getting a copy from parents.
So if a Het + Het with the genetics of N KP, N KP or vice versa you would only get Het KP as the gene is only one side.

Yes, she is Homo, and the sire I have picked out is Homo. I'm just worried about it still not showing since she only has 1 kit gene. Although all of the studs I have hopes of breeding to have have 2 kit genes, so will the foal have enough kit genes to show the KP?

There is a 50% possibility that your mare will pass on her copy of Kitto and the same chance that she will pass on the plain, Kit copy.

No, you need TWO kit genes for her to have 100% chance of her foals inheriting a kit gene from her. Basically she'll throw KP and Tobiano together, or KP and nothing together.

Hunter--

For any horse to show KP and be registerable in the KP Breeders club, they must be both homozygous for KP and have two Kit patterns. Even if you breed your mare to homozygous KP stallions with two kit patterns, her foals will have a 1 in 2 chance of not getting a kit pattern from her and therefore not being KP registrable.

You could add any Kit pattern to her, including W20 or roan, which only cost 1 GMT each.

Genes cost more or less depending on how valuable and rare Ammit wants them to be in the game. By making some genes more expensive, she makes them less common because fewer of us are willing to invest in a gene. KitM and satin are the most expensive genes in the game to keep them relatively rare. If you search for foundations with these genes you will find that they are both uncommon and usually in house only. There are only 17 foundations with satin in the game right now, and only 11 with KitM.

What are the chances you could see the KP on the foal with this stud?

Ok, 1 in 2 chance. I was worried that the foal wouldn't have any chance. I knew that we probably wouldn't see it on her, but I wasn't too concerned as I don't think you could see the KP over her white anyway.

Oh bummer, I really liked kitm.

I went ahead and added Kitr to her. I don't see a difference, but I wasn't really expecting to. Yay!

@HunterUnderSaddleGirl, personally, I like tobiano or roan because they are more compatible with more KIT mutations than white 1 or white 2.

W20 isn't a bad option either. However, your mare does show a lot of white already and W20 will boost her tobiano and possibly make her more white.

It also looks like you picked roan. She is beautiful! If you ever want to sell an egg or two, I would be interested. :)

I love both Tobiano and W2, both of which are 2 GMTs. Of the two, tobiano is safer in more combinations with higher white factors. Since your girl carries Splash, which increases Kit Load, I would probably make her homozygous Tobiano if she was mine.

I also love the roan option. She's beautiful! Enjoy her!
