I used to play HAJ a few years ago, took a break and just started playing again a few months ago. I'm a gray fanatic both in game and in real life, and one of my favorite things when I used to play is grays were almost always born solid with just a few lighter spots to hint that they would gray out. Now the grays that I've created and seen are much lighter right from the get-go. I know HAJ2 is under some construction right now so I was wondering if the solid color gray babies will ever make a comeback? Thanks!

How old are the gray horses you're creating? If you're creating them as 4 year olds, that might be why they're lighter than you're expecting.

This is one of my two year olds that turned out gray. She's got White and Appy so she has a lot of white on her coat, but the gray that you can see showing through is fairly dark. Also, black based grays will generally appear darker than red based grays and Sooty should make most gray horses appear darker, assuming it influences gray the way it does most other coat colors. I don't breed for gray so I can't be sure.

You can see this mare who is two is totally white and was born that way.
