Now that the bulk of the new layout updates are in it is time to start addressing all the little things that need polished up. I am going to start with usability issues. Those are things that the game is displaying is such a way that they are difficult to use. Please only report display issues NOT feature requests.

Example of a display issue: "The pasture info is squished up and hard to read". or "On mobile the graying out to show already bred mares does not work"

Example of a Feature Request: "Add a check box to move horses in the pasture faster"

The display issues are being addressed right now. Feature requests need to be made on weekend wishes posts. I am going to start with things that are hard to use. After I knock some of those out, then we can get to things that look awkward.

How to post a constructive comment: Clearly explain the issue you are experiencing and what page it is happening on. Let me know if this happens on narrow mode, wide mode or both. Give a suggestion on how it can be improved or what would make it more usable.

Because it was an example, are you aware that the graying is not working on mobile for mares already bred?

The game tells it to show that but your phone doesn't have the ability to show colors on lists like that. We could designate it another way, but it is never going to gray out on your phone.

I think this falls into both feature and usability issue. On mobile while using the tack items the color HEX code boxes are uneven which makes it hard to copy/paste codes in (atleast for me)

I don't know how to post a screen shot of it on my phone but it looks like this

Is there a way to get it to look like this:

Because of the colors of the new layout it makes it hard for to find the boxes to paste them in. Completely understand if this isn't important or falls under that other catagory.

I have no idea how to post a screen shot.
Is there a topic somewhere that explains how it's done? All I have is my phone so I'm not even sure if it's possible on here.
I can put a screens shot on my Facebook and link you to it?

I also don't know if it's considered a display issue. But you used to be able to see game time, as a non us member this was incredibly useful for me! Could game time be displayed again? Thank you! X

Edited to add: play on iPhone, safari, can't find game time or year info anywhere!

Don't know if it is my device or something else, and I don't know how to do screenshots on my tablet, but here goes:

When I'm on the forum, and someone has posted a picture ( of a game horse, or anything else), the text box for my reply gets too big and runs off the page, and I can't scroll far enough to the right to access the 'post comment' button. I unlocked my rotation, and tried it that way with no luck, and I tried to zoom out, but it is zoomed out as far as it will go.

I don't know about suggestions... If the left menu bar weren't there, and the forum took up the whole page, there would probably be enough room on the screen, but I really like having the menu bar there.

Sounds like your tablet is ignoring the code that auto shrinks images to scale. We really could use a setting that lets you pick your display mode.

Alrighty I got something for you.

I am in a kindle using the silk browser. I didn't notice this until I saw the post about the notification bell staying yellow. The inbox icon and the notification icon is actually not even visible for me. I can actually see the bottoms of them poking out from under the status bar that shows your current hbs balance.

Scrolling down more does not rectify this. Looking through all the pages, seems it only happens on the forum pages.

Hello Ammit!

I love the Buddy Chat pages but I have an issue with the "send" button and the "Return to Lobby" link overlapping each other. This only seems to happen in chats where there are no horses available for breeding or sale--if any horse is available for breeding or sale the "Return to Lobby" link is below that box and therefore well below the "Send" button.

I play using the Safari browser on my iPad. If you need screenshots let me know and I will post them on the FB page.

I can get around the issue by enlarging my screen and very carefully hitting the top of the Send button which peeks out above the Return to Lobby link, but it slows me down a lot and I often forget, try to hit send, end up in the lobby and have to either hit the Back button or retype my comment.

A follow up to the buddy chats, this one for on the phone -

The bell icon is mostly hidden by the "current hbs" box when in the buddy chats. There's still the return to lobby link so it's not that important of a fix. I'm on my phone, don't think it happens on laptop though.

And I don't think cheers problem with the overlapping send and return to lobby link is a problem on the phone. Just checked the beginners barn, which has no horses for sale/breeding currently, and while the two are close no zooming is required to press one and not the other, nor is there any overlap that I can see. I can check on Google Chrome later if you want.

For me, the bell and the envelope are hidden by the hbs box when I'm using my phone and on the forum. When I go back to my barns or stable home, the hbs box no longer covers up the bell. I use the full version of the forum when I'm on my phone since I find it difficult to navigate with the mobile version, so that might be what causes the problem.

Hey Ammit! Ok, I made an account on HJ1 and looked and the two buttons are clearly separated in chat rooms there. It's not a huge separation but they don't overlap like they do on this version of the game.

The only thing I would ask is I can't figure out how to star a discussion on mobile. Or say "thanks" on forum posts by people.

My kindle automatically goes to full version. It doesn't even give me the option for mobile version. I rarely check the forums on my phone so I never noticed if the icons were covered there.

I just checked it and the issue does exist there as well. I also found that tilting my kindle horizontal uncovers the icons, reveals the twitter feed and opens the side menu. Otherwise all that is hidden. Maybe it's just a size orientation issue. It happens over on HJ1 too.

Personally I kind of like the twitter feed and menu hidden on my kindle screen.
