I am wanting to breed for color. I want to breed for W8 and W10 combined. not sure if this will be lethal. does anyone have a horse like this so I can see? Also I want to breed for few spot appaloosas. does anyone have a few spot that I can look at?

According to the latest KIT lethality chart, it looks like the W8 + W10 combo will only be lethal if the foal has an extensive white factor. So foals with W8 and w10 that have a white factor of none, minimal, light, medium, or large should survive. Of course, this is assuming that I'm interpreting the chart correctly.

Appaloosas that are homozygous LpLp can have the few spot pattern. They can also have no visible Appaloosa markings besides varnishing and the appy muzzle, they can have a small snowcap, a larger snowcap, a really large snowcap that looks more like a white blanket on the back half of their body etc. Here is a link to all the homozygous Appaloosas I own. You can see that there's a variety of different patterns/markings. But any appy markings on hom Appaloosas will always appear mostly "solid". They won't have all the leopard-type spots of color in their white patches like the het Appaloosas.

This homozygous Appaloosa foundation mare has what I would consider a few spot pattern

For comparison, here is a het Appaloosa mare that also has Appaloosa markings covering most of her body.

Here are some of my few spots. Salted Caramel is pretty typical, Lazy Salt also has snowflake, and Sea Salt is my most colored few spot. Search for hmz. Lp, and on the eca3p gene look for hmz. patn1. I *think* that is the criteria for few spot.

This is a very interesting color combo, I like it!
Also @RipshinCreekFarm I have a mare named Sea Salt as well, she's no where near as fancy as yours though----
