If a horse had Sty Sty and ASIPt would they be at least DP het?

What are you referring to with "ASIPt" ?
It could be coming from either side, but it's hard to tell since his sire tends to only throw het Ssty foals. However I do think that it is coming from the dams side.

Well i'm still learning my way around DP so I'm no expert, but its a completely separate gene from Sty and ASIPt but it's untestable. Either the mare or the stud is heterozygous DP and passed it on to the filly. In order for DP to show, a horse has to have either two copies of Sty and one copy of DP, two copies of Sty and two copies of DP, or one copy of Sty and two copies of DP.

ASIPt is the gene At in the bay genes. What I read said that it makes a bay horse Brown.

Ah silly me, I've gotten so used to seeing it as At.
At has no effect on DP. Although it does make it difficult to tell if certain horses, like buckskins have DP because the At is making them dark. -
For horses to be called liver if they have the darkening gene requirements, they MUST be a red based horse. This means ee and gg, or no black and grey to cover it. Any of the a genes are acceptable, I think, although I have yet to have a hom At horse in my liver lines since I just started.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
