What went wrong? All pasture horses gelded/spayed
-
Every foal out of this pasture was gelded or spayed. I went through all my 2g mares and picked the ones with the same paper/closets PT to my stud. I'm really bummed about this. Any info as to why this happened would be appreciated as I'd like to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. I know there can be just bad luck babies but no way 9/10 were. Please take a look at this pasture and give me some advice.

omg that's terrible looks like you just had bad luck but I could be wrong:(
-
9 out of 10 is not every foal. :) And 10 is not very many foals.
Did your mares have a full 30 day pasture bonus? It also looks like you are not testing for inconsistency and it is causing you issues because it is creeping up too high. Mostly bad luck, using your pasture bonus and all the testing will help with that.

I thought with the new testing that papering them tested for consistency.... under the horses control page I do not see a separate consistency test.
-
Consistency is now linked in with the Performance Inspection. That test reports both the PT and Consistency, and doesn't neuter based on the latter, in my experience.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I just went through my foundation pasture and had very few foals pass breeding advice. These girls were only in for 8 days, but never have I had such a bad turnout as far as fixed vs intact ratio even if the mares don't get any pasture bonus. This is the foundation pasture.... is this just bad luck too? Does leaving them in until it automatically breeds them cause lower chance of getting intact foals?

No but not leaving them in until they have their 30 day bonus does.
-
Go through all your mares (stallions too) and do all the testing on them like Ammit said, spay the ones who paper low etc. Then put them in the pasture. Dont leave a stallion in there. Wait until theyre in there for at least 30 days and then breed them. You should have better luck that way.

Yes but these mares have never been tested for consistency because they were done before the new testing came out.

Ok so how do I test them for consistency? I did not see the option to do so under their control panel.
And thank you everyone for the input & help :) -
Right but the mares have a PT score and there isn't the option to PT test them again....
-
Do them in mass in a barn. That should force it to do the test.
