Clarification of short terms/abv used in forum..
  • ok, so Im slowly starting to figure the game out after playing a couple of days...but Im confused about all the short terms you guys use in forum discussions..ie...
    Would someone be able to clarify the short terms? would be greatly helpful in understanding the game better..

    PF
    RS
    TNP
    etc etc...

    OOO and Im super happy getting a B rated colt out of a foundation pairing breeding. This is a good thing right? Sire was C rated, dam yellow..
    Sorry for the stupid questions but the better I understand everything, the higher the quality of horses I can produce...lol

  • PF = Perfect Foundation
    RS = Rank Special
    TNP = Top Notch Producer

    These took me a while to figure out via context clues. It would be nice to have a glossary of sorts for these terms.
    Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.

  • Ty so much for the help! Greatly appreciated..Yes, I think it would be great to have a glossary available for new players to refer too...

    DP?? there's another one I dont understand..lol

  • DP is Dense Pheomelanin

  • It's a darkening gene that's not testable.

  • KP--Kit Promoter--a fantasy gene that causes cloudy whitish patches in a horse's coat. The horse has to have two Kit modifications (may be the same as in roan/roan or tobiano/tobiano) and two copies of KP. Also not testable.

    AFPT--Average Foal PT--a number arrived at by adding up the PT scores of a horse's foals and dividing by the number of foals. It's a great indicator of the breeding ability of any stallion or mare.

    DHH--Daily Herd Helper

    And yes, a B papered colt by a C papered stallion out of a Yellow papered mare is a good result.
    De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

  • I've got a start on a list of terms and abbreviations, just haven't had time to get back to it in the past couple of weeks.

  • You might also see GP which stands for gulastra plume. GP causes the white tail on this horse:
