This horse is worth what I listed her for
-
This horse is satin with 10.9 PT and female just because she is uneven does not mean she is not worth what I'm asking. She is not a new create and is not only worth 2500.I was not asking a really really high price for her..15k is not high at all. I've seen horses sell for way way more. This is not fair I feel like I get picked on all the time when I go to sell a horse and it's not right. I'd understand if I posted her for 30k but I didn't. I'm seriously about to quit this game. And I know people were posting about a satin stud I sold earlier for 12k he was Cpl and Satin and A papered he was worth what I sold him for..it's just not fair that people sell me horses all the time for over 100k. But when I go to sell a horse I can't get 15k for it..that is wrong. And to put satin on a horse on a foundation is 200$ to put on your horse but your telling me if I go to sell it I can't get 15k for it..wow

She got voted down in price because she's not the best quality. That many generations in you would want to see *star quality on her sire's side (he's A) and gold on her dam's (she's blue). Those fancy genes like satin are nice but they mean nothing if the horse is poor quality. Quality before color, always. Nobody is out to get you, they simply voted you down so that another new player like yourself doesn't overpay for a horse as well, just like you did by paying 100K. With this girl you only payed 2500, so you aren't going to lose anything on her no matter what. It's a steep learning curve, and it takes time. Most people are very friendly and helpful. There is no malicious intent and I hope you stick it out and really give it more time.

I don't know if I will stick it out this game is not really fair when it comes to the satin gene..but thanks for your in put..ill be putting all my horses in auctions

Starfire, a horse isn't worth a lot of game money simply because it costs a lot of real money. I said this before, you are very much over paying for horses, someone is ripping you off. The genes don't make the horse, it is everything together that makes the horse. Pearl is also rather common, and can be found in some creates. Even some of the newer genes, such as Axiom and the new Ice genes aren't selling for that much, and some people have paid quite a bit of money to buy into those genes.
I can assure you that nobody is picking on you intentionally, they do not want to see other new players pour all their money into horses that are lower quality. We like people to succeed in this game. :) -
Also, some people will only buy evens. Not to mention a horse is only worth what the buyer thinks they are worth. If you think she is worth 15k and won't lower then keep her. Its the same in the Real horse market. People buy what they think is a good price for the animal and that's that. I am a new player too, and what I have learn't is to breed the best you can. Don't breed a mare & and a stallion with significantly different PT scores for one- this results in a high amount of foals being gelded. (If your mare is significantly higher than the stallion then any fillies will get spayed because the stallion will generally pull down the foals PT score and spay/geld testing compares to the same gender parent- Meaning in this circumstance you would have an abundance of entire colts and very few breeding mares.) Also, breeding evenly means both parentage has the same amount of lineage building their quality and consistency in the offspring.Thanked by 1Ammit

If you want to chase rare color that is fine. If you want to pay hundreds of thousands for a RS horse, for no other reason than it is rare that is fine. But that is not what drives the game's economy, and you won't find many others who want to play that way. If you want to sell satins for that sort of money you will need to breed high-quality ones. Hi-Jynx knew what she was doing when she priced that horse.

Flipping horses to make money simply doesn't work here. Everyone can see what the horse sold for before, so if you buy a horse for like 10k then list it for 50k, everyone can see what's going on. If you only pay 10k for it, people are going to be a little insulted that you expect a lot more out of it.
You might trick a new player now and again, but beyond that, nope.
And yes, people will keep voting those horses down. It comes off as shady.
As to the ones people are selling you, if you think they're over priced, stop buying them and vote them as overpriced yourself. No one is making you buy them!Thanked by 1supersarah
