I have 4 2g A papered colts and I am thinking of crossing them on his daughters. Will doing that help improve his line? I want to make his line as great as possible.
Would you all geld all of Dancers colts 2g that only papered B? That is what I am thinking that I should do. Then I am going to have to hope his fillies can make his line the best it can get.

Dancer was papered C, right? If that's the case, then B papered colts are absolutely not bad from him. Are their PTs way lower than his?

Some did but most papered above him? Because of my A papered 2g colts I wasnt sure if they should be kept? Does that make sense? I hear so many times where once you have an A papered colt then you should geld all B papered colts after that?

His best colt Pure Halloween has a PT score of 10.4. He is the highest of his sons. He is B papered.

That's entirely your decision. All I require from any line is for sons to be superior to their sires. This usually works out to C papered followed by B papered and then A but that's certainly not the only way to make progress.

When you say you have 4 A papered colts, are they Dancers colts? Or a different lineage? If you want to keep a colt from Dancers lines, B papered PT 10.4 is NOTHING to be ashamed of! I just want to be sure you are not going to rely on JUST the fillies, if you don't have to.

When people say that once you have an A papered colt geld the rest, they mean an A papered colt from the same lines. I just want to be sure you get that before you geld that nice colt.

Yeah they are from other lines. I havent gelded anything yet. I keep going through everyone again and again. Pure Halloween is pretty plain but he is the one i have the highest hopes for out of his colts.

Then I would certainly keep him intact! Don't be discouraged by all the ex Perfs and ex pro 2n gen scores! Pure Halloween carries your Dancer genes just as well as those fillies. He is an EXCELLENT result of your breeding program!
