Was just thinking about all of the work put into our pixel ponies. I know I have several horses with interesting marking and would love to see what you guys have as well.

Here are a few of mine

This lovely lady appears to have a a horses face on her shoulder

CG Demora RS

This girl looks like she has a little man standing in her shoulder.

Look at her fronts legs. Looks like she's wearing arm warmers or bandages. Her sire has the exact same markings and so do several of his other foals.

duck. Duck. GOOSE! I just like Gooses face, okay?
Sadly though Goose has varnish and the mark will eventually disappear. I have yet to get it to pass to one of her foals

Same with Vague. She has interesting face marking, reminds me of cobwebs.

As always KniKna, I love Obscurion. AndColorGood, Femora is very unique! I saw her and thought, now there's a Horsey McHorseface!

Browsing through my horses, I got a bit of a laugh at some names I have tortured my my pixel ponies with. Some odder ones include the above RC Soup Sandwich, RC Acting Like Shatner, RC Barbara Manatee, RC Root Cellar Surprise, and one of my personal faves RC Heavy Mans Undies.

@colorgood water and rum has those markings because she's dun, all duns have leg barring, theyre called primitive markings :-)

This mare has one brown ear and one white ear with a white mask and it looks like she stepped in deep paint or snow

Here are my lot! As you can probably tell, I love spotty white noses.

Baby Blue Babe
The black spots in the roan is pretty, even though she's basically one colour.

2 Cold Perfection
Grey and w2! But I think he'll fade/whiten, due to the grey, right?

Justice Jane
Bay dots and just enough of a white face mask to give her blue eyes.

Got this beautiful girl from Cheers. Sadly hasn't thrown any w8. I want to cross her with an appy to get blanket spots and those lovely white splotches that w8 gives.

I love blanket appys the best, especially the black ones. She also has the nose I like, and I do love the drifting of the white over the black on her side!

I had so many with unique markings XD But I managed to narrow it down! I wanted to include one of my Ice 13 horses but I had so many that I couldn't decide. (Yeah, yeah, i'm terrible at making decisions).

This filly was a pleasant surprise. Never had a S+ filly with the white spotting before!

@jezmynespice1 I wasn't talking about her dun. I know what primitive markings are, I'm talking about the white on her legs. They look like regular stockings until just about her pastern/fetlock. Then they white stops and goes back to her regular base color.

@ObsidiunKitsune yes your grey colt will fade to all white and so will the black drafts. They both have vanish which slowly fades to white. It's very interesting!

@everyoneelse love seeing all of these pretty ponies! So many interesting colors and patterns going on

@ColourGoodStables How can I tell if they have varnish? Because that bit was news to me! I don't mind though, they'll still be pretty to me in their old age.

@ObsidianKitsune - Just about all Appaloosas have varnish. It is something to do with genetics, and only appaloosas will show varnish. If you look above at the blue roan appaloosa above you posted Dancing Delilah, you will see that the roan is pretty much over her body, leaving her head and legs darker, which is how roaning works. But if you look at the two black appaloosas you posted, Baby Blue Babe, and Head in the snow, their "roan look" which is actually varnish, is uneven and blotchy. Baby Blue Babe is farther along in her varnishing than Head in the snow, as most of her body is varnished. The blue roan more than likely has varnishing too, but you can't see it because of the roan.

Justice Jane is what is known as a "corn spot roan". Those darker spots are called corn spots. As far as I know there is no way to tell why some get the corn spots and some don't. About the only thing I have heard about how it happens, is that it may be caused by injuries, and the hair just comes in darker on those injured spots (like if they get a scratch from something or such).

This mares markings are cool in the brown patch by her bottom she has the brown in the shape of a bear facing towards her head and a baby elephant on her chest facing her bottom I thought it was really cool I bought her because of her markings
