  • Doing the Happy Dance here. I finally got a liver chestnut, and she is intact! Isn't she pretty?

  • Thanks Everyone. I also love that she has no white!

Plain liver chestnut, I had a AQHA liver chestnut gelding years and years ago, that was just about the same color as this girl. He was a little darker, and did have one little spot of white on his left hind heel though. He lived a long life with me though. He was 32 years old when I had to have him put to sleep. At that ripe old age, he got naviculars, and back then they didn't have any way to fix the problem. So this girl, even though she is virtual, means a lot to me.
  • That is a ripe old age, for a horse. He sounds lovely. It is so great that you now have a H&J horse so much like him.

  • Yeah, it is great when I get a horse that has the same color or markings as one of the many horses, my extended family and friend's have had. I really liked Levi John though, I always called him my chocolate candy bar. He was a pony horse out here on Del Mar Racetrack for years. My uncle gave him to me when he retired. I have a few that are named after some horses I have had. I haven't seen one like my brown APHA mare in my avatar photo though.
  • Is she liver or bay? Can't quite tell from the photo.
  • Abbey, She is registered as brown, but I thought she leaned towards bay, but no black at all in her mane and tail, or legs. They are a little darker than liver. Black hairs just her shoulders, neck and rump. She was born a buckskin, but I knew she wouldn't stay buckskin.
