higher quality?
  • On a stud if you have a b papered stud and he produces a son that id A papered. Is his quality worth more? So if you sell his straws starting out at 500 and then he produces the A papered son is it alright to ask for lets say 750 for his straws? Then up the price again once a star papered son is born?
  • All B Papered studs are roughly the same quality. That's why they fall into the B category. It's very unlikely you would get a *star papered stud from a B sire just because it's difficult to make such a big jump in ability in one generation. It could be possible maybe with really good mares.

If a B papered stud had a high ratio of A papered sons to B or lower sons I might price him a little higher, just because he would most likely be on the high end of the B level. Otherwise I would just price him the same as I had been all along.
