Damn, he's dominant PATN1! Would make breeding appys easier for people. You may be able to sell him to an appy breeder now 3.5-4k I think.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
I think you mean homozygous. ;)

True. I was thinking homoygous dominant and homozygous recessive and since it shows it's dominant. This is why I stick to Chemistry. :-))Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

@Confluence, that's a mouthful; I dare you to say it three times really fast, hahaha.

Can you message me

If it shows with one copy it would be homozygous dominant (Homozygous for the dominant gene) If the horse has two copies of a gene that does not show with one copy it is Heterozygous recessive (homozygous for the recessive gene). Example: a eE horse is heterozygous (only one copy of either gene). A EE black horse would be Homozygous Dominant black (has two copies of the dominant gene, black) and a ee chestnut would be Homozygous Recessive red (two copies of the recessive gene, red). All horses that show recessive phenotypes are Homozygous recessive.
Haven't checked the horse, but from comments I think you guys are saying he is Homozygous dominant Patn. -
No a horse is heterozygous or homozygous when referring to the copies it has, a gene can be dominate or recessive (and honestly several other states). Different terms for different things. You don't combine the terms. Some people do but it's not correct.

thank you everyone for commenting, I'm going to definitely breed from him in the future and put him up for stud, then later maybe sell him. thanks for all your help though!
Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
If I were looking for another boy I would probably pay 5k since I breed for apps and since he is double patn that is very valuable for producing color. Plus he is tall too :)
