selling barns?
  • Is it worth me selling my smaller barns to get a 120 stall barn?

I cant buy one with real money so not sure? I was thinking of selling my 4 show barns to get a big stall barn?
  • when you turn barns in you will lose out on a few IVs so you will have to decide if it's better to save up and buy another barn or take a small loss to condense the # of barns to ones that hold more horses.

Personally I felt that the loss of IVs was not too hard to take so I've sold most of my small barns and am now saving for another mondo barn and when I get close I may sell off some of my smaller barns to get a mondo quicker :D although I have my intact horses sorted into smaller barns (90-120) because I find the mondo barns take a bit longer to load so my spay/gelded horses are in those for showing
  • That is what i wanted was a 120 stall barn if i can.

How much do you lose on the 30 stall and 15 stall barn?
  • Each 15 stall barn is worth 4 Iv's.
Each 30 stall barn is worth 8 IV's.

You would get 12 IVs from selling one of each. (Remember that any horses you have in them will overload your primary barn. You can't sell that one.)

A 15 stall barn costs 5 IVs, and a 30 stall barn costs 10 IVs, so you would lose the value of 3 IVs.

The 120 stall barn costs 40 IVs.

  • I got a 90 stall barn. I have room for 12 more show horses. Now I have to save up and get at least 1 more 90 stall barn.

    Slowly working up.
  • So why transfer to a bigger barn? That's a net loss overall, isn't it? Unless you just want to condense horses
  • Part of the reason was i wanted one barn for my show horses. As often as i was buying a 15 or 30 barn made me think that i needed a 90 or 120 stall barn.
  • You need tons of barns for your show ponies. I have 3 or 4 1000 stall barns for my show ponies. I wouldn't trade in little barns and take a loss...I would just buy the biggest barn you can afford as you need it..... but that's just me!
  • How much is a 1000 stall barn with game money?
  • 1IV= 12,500 hbs.
    1000 stall = 330IVs
    330 x 12500 = 4,125,000.

    So over 4 mil hbs.

  • Yikes thats a lot. But I bet it comes in handy.
  • If you have enough horses to fill a mondo barn odds are they are earning enough money to buy another mondo barn lol I currently have just over 1000 horses total and they are bringing in just over 29,500hbs a day in bonuses and on top of that I have my weekly pay and their show payouts. If I just let them sit and not show anymore I can buy a new mondo in just over 4months (in actuality just under 3 if counting my money on hand and IVs I have already put aside) but by continuing to show and raise their show bonus I will be able to afford another mondo barn way before my horses outgrow the stalls I have available at this moment (1,949 stalls)
  • I have to agree with Cheers, don't take a loss by selling barns back for IVs. You lose 1 IV in the long run each time, so by the time you've sold back five barns (for a total of 20 IVs), you've lost 5 IVs from your initial investment. That's 15 stalls. My advice would be to save up for bigger barns in the future but keep the small ones, at least until your show bonus is big enough it's somewhat expendable
