Like Obsidian said. Best way is to adopt a show horse. If you type "availible for adoption" into the tattoo box on the horse search you will get a list of horses that are cheap. Most will be altered. Some arent. But all should have upwards of 500 points. I've adopted 4 horses total from this project and it's well worth it. All you have to do is pick the horse, copy it's link and then send the owner a pm through the forum. They will approve or decline you (never been declined before) most are for 2500.

If you choose to sell altered horses remember that new alters are usually really low on points and not worth much (2500-3000) recently dealt with an issue of over priced altered horses. It's an inconvenience to other players as well as a rip off (especially if newer members buy them)
Auction will get you 2500 per horse.
If you want to sell intact horses please make sure they are also not over priced. New Colts are usually worth auction price. Most people don't want Colts unless they have rare genes and great breeding. A mares value is based on what the buyer wants to pay and the seller wants to receive. A papered and tested mare has more of a set value.
If you want to sell breeding stock most players will also only take evenly bred horses.

You can always put an ISO in the sales thread. Ask for show horses with points. Explain you are new and can't pay like crazy. The players here are very nice and do what they can to help.
I was given a free 150 stall barn when I was new. If you PM me I can get you a few decent show ponies for really cheap.

User 13 is the foundation rescue. It lifts perfect foundations out of the public auction so they don't go to the Auction Buyer and out of the game. You can buy good horses there for create price or a bit more.

If you leave the owner slot blank, you should get some results. I just added a few more horses to my Available to Adopt collection, and I have a bunch waiting for the tattoo when they've gained more points than they currently have, which might take a while. When I have time, I'll probably be adding a more in the next few days.

Not if she's looking for adoption horses. If someone is looking for perfect foundations to purchase from the game, then 13 is the correct user, but horses up for adoption should be found by searching available to adopt in the tattoo slot, and an owner ID belonging to a given player only if one is looking for adoption that person is currently holding.

It's a game where you never know everything about it. I've been playing since October 2011 (HaJ1) and I just learned yesterday that if a player has only 1 tattoo slot, they are not allowed to sell it to someone else, even so that the buyer can create a tattoo and sell it right back.

Ammit keeps improving the game, and we all just keep on learning about it. :D
