If she papered yellow she is worse than my foundation mares that papered red correct?
It goes yellow, red, blue, gold correct? -
i believe you are correct (but there is also one more before yellow which is Failed)
Mares:
Failed
Yellow
Red
Blue

Studs:

Now I wonder if I should snip her? I like her foals but I don't want to create inferior foals for my stud Pearlotta.
-
If she papered inferior to other mares you have with that stud, I would snip her. Snipping her offspring is up to you but I usually make a note on their pages and count it as a strike against them but not a wholesale snipping offense.

For me, Yellow is acceptable only in foundation mares, the same as C for the stallions. 2nd gen horses must paper higher than the lowest paper level. This is most important for me in mares, because ordinary foundation mares can paper Red, and exceptional foundations always paper Red.
