Cloning lab questions?
-
How much HB does it cost to clone a horse?
Does the clone have 100% guaranteed ability to pass geld/spay tests and papering if the original did?
Will the clone have the same PT score?
If you clone a horse that you have used GMTs on, will the resulting horse be a clone of the current horse with all of its GMT modified genes or will it be a clone of the horse "au natural" as it was at birth?
Thanks in advance!ID# 2353 -
Check out the cloning lab - most of your questions are answered thereThanked by 1Ammit

It costs 50 IVs (Investment Vouchers) to clone a horse, not hbs. If you clone a specific horse repeatedly, the cost to clone increases.
As to the GMT factor, I am not sure. LE genes will not clone (cheating), just the base body of the horse; per Ammit's rules. -
@Denalidom
I would check out the Cloning Lab... But I don't have that upgrade, so I can't view that page.

Here, I can copy and paste the info for you:
Welcome to the HuntAndJump University Cloning Lab. In the lab dedicated scientist will take cells from an adult horse, remove the DNA and use it to create a stem cell, that will then develop into a foal. Cloning produces exact genetic duplicates, however it is important to note that some environmental factors can not be perfectly controlled. The clone will be genetically identical to the original horse but will have some slight visual, and training variations. The university provides a surrogate mare included in the cost of the procedure. Clones of geldings will be born as stallions, clones of spayed mares will be born as mares. It is important to note that brindle is not genetic and will not clone. Testing has changed over the years a clone of a GA passed horse is NOT guaranteed to pass GA. A clone is is NOT guaranteed to have the same paper level.
Please inspect the pedigree of a horse before you clone it. Some horses will have ancestors that request their descendants not be cloned.
Please do not clone LE foundations. It's cheaty. Many LE genes do not clone, clone them at your own risk.
Cloning a horse costs 50 IV's. Price goes up each time a horse is cloned
