Will close without warning anytime in the next few days.
We are holding a contest until the end of November. Create some new background art for the game and win two copies of snowflake.
::RULES::
You must post below with an image that is exactly 500 X 333 pixels and .png format.
It must compliment the art style of the game.
It must be digitally painted/drawn by you. No photo manipulation.
Make sure horses look correct on this background, if they look strange floating awkwardly I won't use it.
You must be the sole creator of the art work.
No copying any copyrighted designs. Create something unique.
I will select as many or as few winners from both servers as I want to use on the site.
Categories are strong suggestions, but you don't have to follow them.

Not sure I did a spectacular job but I gave it a shot. Here is an Axiom Complimentary background. I can also make it into different colors to compliment all the Axiom colors

thanks everyone for the positive feedback! I tweaked it a little and I think I like this version better. The horse looks less "floaty" in this one.

I imagine it's way too "flat" for the game, but I figured I'd ask before I start on something else. Done with a track pad (shoot me), gonna go get a new mouse tomorrow!

Make sure all images are 500 by 333 as well. Your second looks too small. :)

Gave a go at a Christmas theme. I gave up part way through since it's too small a file size for me, I usually work at A3+ so it looks really rough.

Bourbon you can always do larger size and then downsize it at the very end. :D

Thank you all :) I did actually work at 200% of the file size and still struggled. Maybe I might have to consider 300% if I have enough time to doodle some more entries. They're not bad warm-ups really.#4519Thanked by 1Ammit

@Ammit, thank you for the opportunity! I used to do photomanipulation art, but this digital background painting is a whole new experience. It was surprisingly fun. :)
I love all the unique ideas that people have come up with. So many pretty backgrounds! -

I made a sort of seaside background. The ponies can stand in the field overlooking the ocean and feel that fresh sea breeze ruffle their manes :)
