ANSWERED...Spelded closed gene cannot be put on public sale?

What is the difference between auctioning and selling a spelded closed gene? I'm cleaning out my barns, and I cannot put these up for sale, due to the closed gene restriction. If they can be auctioned, why can they also not be sold?

I’m not entirely sure the reasoning, but it has something to do with before the new gene licensing systems were in place. You can post a link to the altered babies offering them for sale, and add them to a buddy chat to sell them to people. Or just run them all through auction.Thanked by 1DoubleMash2

Most often I sell them back to the game or if I can wait they will be auctioned.
