Re-approaching my lined breeding
-
Ok so I took all my lined foals so far and....put them with my bootstrap girls! I'm thinking I will take 5 girls per foundation hom special gene and 10 per het and hope I get atleast 1 or 2 that pass SBA and paper better than their parents. Thanks to my wonderful SS angelacres as well as many wonderful members of this community I have some amazing straws and ponies to utilize. I'm not sure how to deal with breeding things that may be different paper levels as some of my foundation studs are C papered and some are B papered but I want to breed even generations. Any advise?

This is what I have so far! I have 3 stallions I need to get some good babies from left so I'll have at least 6 more babies before this month is out :) They all papered better than their dams!

When using straws in my even lines I always try to breed even by both generation and paper.
So gen 1 yellow girls are usually paired with gen 1 C boys and gen 1 red girls are paired to gen 1 B boys.
My pastures are a bit different since the bonus helps the odds a bit better so I don't mind mixing yellows and reds with Cs and Bs.
Do you have any yellow girls to pair the C boys with or vise versa?
If you are trying to keep to good odds you may wish to avoid the risk of putting the C boys to red mares.
I am sure there are a bunch of us out here willing to help out with eggs or mares to brood that would match your straws as well.ID# 47364
Breeding for all version of black drafts. (Including black liver)
Help me build my black brindle army!
Always looking to buy foundation brindle drafts in black, blue roan, grullo, classic champagne, etc.
I work a 7day on 7day off schedule and my activity here will reflect that.
I can be very scatterbrained and forgetful so if I don't get back to you in a decent amount of time just poke me.Thanked by 1Amgr1992 -
Thank you Blackwyld! I will do that :) I'm a little disappointed in my ice 15 boy because I didnt get one ice 15 filly that passed SBA and papered over her dam out of 29 foals. So I'll try again later. I did seem to get quite a few nice foals and hoping for some exceptional producing HH tomorrow to pair with the B papered boys that didnt get any mares today! But I may give Shadows a few days of rest then use up the rest of the breedings and hope. Hes papered c, passed SBA all the girls I put with him passed SBA and I get zero fillies from him! I'll just use HHs to get my line started :)

@Amgr1992 I think I have a bunch of extra ex pro mares still. If you're looking for something specific, i can see what i have.#28036

Thank you for the offer Haltanny! Not really looking for anything specific because my boys tend to be slightly flashy! I'm doing the last 3 boys in pasture one at a time to see if that will help! Get a few days on each group of mares! :)

I’m an exceptional HH hoarder as well, and would love to give/sell some to you as well.
Also the buddy chat “pointed creates” gets quite a few exceptional for sale as well. (Including 3 right now)Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses. -
List of my exceptional mares if any catch your eye.
I breed evenly for my generations, but not by paper. (Unless you look at my bootstrap line)
IE I half half red foundation mares and half yellow. 3/4 of my stallions are B but some are still C. I’m switching to 2G As but still have mostly red mares.
Sure I get less intacts but you know the ones that are left are better. And auction fodder and show ponies help with $$$. So everyone does it a little different.
