I need some help deciding who to make het snowflake while the gene is half price. I can really only afford to buy one copy, so would it make more sense to have a het mare or colt?

I have one unbred Hidden Gates remaining, she’s already 7yrs old so if I’m going to do something with her then now is the time.

If I put a copy of snowflake on her then I could breed her to my hom DP/SNF foundation stud and hopefully get a 2G hom foal within a couple seasons.

The other option is to add a copy of snowflake to my Freaky Friday colt.

I would then of course have to add LP along with my goal of GMTing KitM and Sooty+ on to him and removing frame once I have enough tokens (over 60!). But is there any point adding snowflake to a horse with KitM? Would snowflake show very well on foals that inherit both?

I need help choosing because I am the worst at making quick decisions! I know it’s half price which is the only reason I’m considering it, but $3.75 is still over $5 Australian, and I’m not getting any consistent work until late February. So one copy only :/

The mare is less work, and since there's already a hom snowflake stud in the picture, I'd go with her. It's bound to come around again in the RGS and the FF is much younger.

I would say put it on your hidden gates mare. You already have a hom dp hom snowflake boy

My other concern with putting it on the mare is the fact that you can only get one foal per season unless you flush eggs, but being only a basic upgrade I’m not sure that’s available to me. Is there an option to pay a premium player to mass flush for you and hold eggs? Or is this against the rules?

Just FYI, she only needs stand 2 now to be hom snowflake ;)

I think you need to add her to the Snowflake breeders club since she is Hom Snowflake now. :D

Now if you want, you can add a copy to your FF foal. Never hurts to have 2 snowflake studs.

Can breeding season hurry up and get here now? I’m going to put some GMTs into making her a draft first xD

I just may have to do that, I wish KitM or S+ were 50% off too, but at least those I can buy with GMTs once I save enough.

What you can do, is you can create an embryo as a basic upgrade, then implant it. Then do a normal breeding. This allows you 2 breedings a season with a mare. I've been doing that with my hidden gates mare

Thanks Obsidian, I didn’t know we could still create embryos. I’ve never been to that part of the lab before, so I’ll have to check it out.

“Never hurts to have 2 snowflake studs...” Well since my freaky Friday colt would give me another C papered stud, I’m leaning towards this ExPerf stallion instead.

Completely forgot he was going to be my first GMT project until I got the Hidden Gates boys- then I saw him come up in the list of modifiable horses in the gene sales list. Now I think a B-papered stud would be a great addition and would pair very well with the Hidden Gates mare you guys generously made hom snowflake <3

Well he’s not pretty anymore but at least he’ll make some lovely babies. Why is it so easy to spend more than you intend to though??
