I have forgotten. When does rollover start?

For the new year? End of breeding season? Or in general?

In general - midnight.

End of breeding season - midnight between the 27th and 28th.

New breeding season - 4 am on the second of each month.

Pastures open on the 5th.

ETA: Game time not your time unless your timezone is the same as the game's like mine is lol. You can always see what the game time is, in the top right corner.

Shoot I messed up then by making my new specials as 3 year olds. I thought it changed on the first. Oh well.

You still can't breed them any more this month, so keep creating at 3. :)

Nope you did good by creating 3 year olds. Like RoseFlute said you can't breed them anymore until the second because breeding season is over. By making them 4 year olds you would be wasting a year. The new year is the 1st of each month. I forgot to put that in my original comment. Thats when all the horses age.

Ok then I am good. I don't have a lot of money so going to be picky about what mares I will breed this season.

If you manage your breeding carefully, you should be able to break even regardless of how many you breed. That does mean auctioning a lot of culls instead of retaining them for show horses, so try to find a balance.
