So after a lot of thought, I’ve decided to leave Hunt and Jump. I may move to hunt and jump 1 after I check it out. But not sure. Or I may just not play at all. Or I may be gone for a few weeks and then come back. I don’t know.

The reason is simply, I don’t know what my goals are. Which make the game more overwhelming than fun. The game is fun if you have a goal imo but everything is super chaotic at my barn because I don’t have a breeding goal and after my horse and my two grandfathers just recently passed (one after the other— they all three died in the same week.), it’s hard for me to get back into the game enough to pay for it. I’m one part super depressed so it’s hard to enjoy stuff... and the other part is just I’m overwhelmed with my barn and have no direction. And I don’t wanna play free because it’s so limited compared to the paid version. And also, after my horse passed away, I don’t really care for anything that reminds me of him now. Which was mostly why I bred Appaloosas in the first place. Was because he was an appaloosa...

There’s nothing wrong w the game. The issue is me more than anything. Can’t get my head on straight enough to play correctly

That all being said, if y’all wanna go through my barns and lmk if you want anything, I’m happy to sell it to you. I may keep a few Incase I decide to come back like the ones I put real money into... But most everything else is up for grabs. And if you’ve ever given me a horse, lmk which one and I’ll give it back.

Sorry for your recent losses, I can imagine things are hard for you. I find this game is a good distraction from real life sometimes so I won’t sift through your barns just in case you do decide to come back. I play on a basic upgrade and it doesn’t have too many shortcomings so spending real money isn’t necessary to enjoy the game. Have a good Christmas regardless of what you decide to do :)

I'm so sorry to hear of the losses that came so closely. What an awful week that must have been. It's no wonder you're not feeling like playing right now, especially when your lack of focus is complicating your game play already.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Give yourself time to grieve. I hope that you'll be able to come back to the game in time. You'll be missed.

@SquishLime I may try it out on the free upgrade once my barns are cleared of the chaos and I’ve had some time to get my head back on. Last I played For free I found myself missing the things that came w the upgrade since I’ve been spoiled by it! It is a good distraction I’ll agree. But lately it seems I can’t even get myself distracted. It’s hard to focus on much sadly. But thank you. Merry Christmas!

@SandycreekFarm It’s been tough. I have tried to play. And not even the rank specials and holiday events have enticed me enough to be able to set up a breeding goal and just enjoy the game play. It’s really hard to focus. And last night I tried to get back into it like I usually do and I honestly just wanted to get rid of all my horses and start over with a clean state. So I may do that once I’ve got my head on and the barns are cleared. But there’s no use in continuing to try and play when I can’t focus to do anything and it just seems like a chore to play. And I’d like to think it’ll be easier once my barns are clear but at the same time I have NO idea what I wanna breed. And last time I thought I’d be back “soon”, I ended up leaving for 6 months. It’s just so hard to tell what I’ll feel like doing but one thing is for sure. I Atleast need to clear these barns so I’m not overwhelmed every time I log on. And I gotta get over this grieving stuff. It’s pretty hardcore :/ people aren’t joking when they say the grieving process is hard

I've been very depressed before, so I know how much that absolutely takes it out of you, and I'm sending you all the good, warm, healing vibes I can. Try to remember to take care of yourself - it will get you through this. There is sunshine in your future, I know it doesn't seem like it now, but there is, you just gotta get yourself there.

Stepping away without burning the bridge is a good idea - it gives you a break, and allows for you to come back if you ever need to! I'd love to give this girl a home while you are gone, if you're up for letting her go:

Also I’m probably gonna keep anything I put money into or something with Snowflake. But I’ll put the studs up for suuuper cheap stud so you guys can use them while I’m gone! :)

But last time I left a lot of good horses went to waste and I don’t wanna do that again. So no good offer turned down!

I am very sorry for your losses. My mare and dad died within a few months of each other. It was a rough year. I hope time eases your pain and leaves you with happy memories of your loved ones. There is no specific timeline for grief, so take all the time you need to mourn and heal. Holidays can be extra hard on people, and there may be family members who, due to their own grief, lash out or pull away when you need their support the most.

Everyone grieves differently, and not always in a particularly healthy way. My holiday gift to one sister (Dad died right around the New Year, and her birthday) was NOT smacking her for the rude things she was saying! If that tension and added stress is occuring in your family, and it’s hard to talk to them, I hope you have friends who you can reach out to. Please know your H&J community is here for you! You are NOT alone here.
