Actually Confluence confirmed that revealing on the 23rd is acceptable (she clarified with "on or after". I think the comment is in the official Secret Santa thread).

I'd say, give the other gifts on the day you want to give. If it was me, I wouldn't say anything about the intended big gift because you just can't count on the RGS to have what you need. So IF they pop up, give them a surprise after gift! And if not, you don't have to worry about disappointment.

Also, barns and pastures are always a nice gift, if you don't get the gene you want!

Probably kinda stupid question here, but what exactly do we do as a reveal?

Do we send our SS a message and pull the villain, “Ahah! It was me all along!” Or something else?

I’m hardly going to be on the next couple of days as it’s Swedish Christmas and British Christmas.

And if you don’t have a premium account, do you just message your SS and ask them to add you to theirs? Not that there’s much to put up for them when most of their gifts are closed gene stock that you don’t own the licence for lol. Thank goodness for elves!

As far as main thread I agree with everyone else. Never start with an “I’m sorry it’s not all ready yet...” and in my case I have so much to put up for my SS I can’t do it all at once. So I’m going to do a mini version of 12 days of Christmas...

I did my reveal today as the next few days are going to be busy with visitors and people are trying to jinx their way into Christmas babies!

Last year I had elves send gifts that never touched my facility. Semen, embryos, hbs, etc. I think I even bought a 30 horse barn or something like that. I dont remember fully. But then anything that was ON SITE was put up in a chat room and on the 28th I finally added them and said have fun! Surprise, it's me!

This year I sent actually a bit early because I couldnt wait. I was biting my nails off. LOL I sent a few days of small gifts with the same theme. I sent a nexus bloodline one day, another day I sent watercolor, another day I sent really cool looking show foals, and a different day I sent a snowflake package.

I then sent semen off of all of my studs that fit what they were looking for, embryos of what I had pulled for them, and finished up with a smorgasbord of blue & gold mares that I hoped she would like.

I feel pretty good about SS this year. Not only do I feel like I met most of the needs I could afford (I dont have the RL cash atm), but I also took advantage of SS shopping and was able to pitch in for over 20 members' SS gifts from my stock!! I was BLOWN AWAY at the amount of interest and stuff flying off the shelves... er... pastures? Lol

Anyway. I love SS project. I so much wish for next year to come around so I can work on something special. <3<br />
I had a little bit of an unfortunate scenario on my end, but so many members stepped up and pitched in, I ended up waking up last night to a wide variety of users working together to make sure Christmas was bright for me!!

As someone who lives well over 4 hours from family, and my closest friend is almost 2 hours from me, holidays can get lonely. I so much appreciate you all.
