Anyway, if you have the strength to! Go for it! Get those extra points from gelding. I only wish I had the strength. Even requiring 2G As and superior to 2G A at 3G, and almost star at 4G I still find a way to only have a one stallion to 5 mares ratio. But it’s so confusing and time consuming.

I'm the worst at keeping more studs than I will ever use. Lol I go through my 120 stall stud barn all the time, picking who to snip to make room for colts I want to add. I snip anything that doesn't pass SBA to start with unless it's a gene or gene combination I particularly love, and then anything that comp tests worse than sire. I also snip most who are AGA, but I'm running out of those now, too. Last time through I snipped half a dozen perfectly good AGA and STS studs because I didn't want to lose their points by selling then. Next round, I'm snipping studs without special genes that I don't use, but first I need yet another show barn to toss them in cause there's no room there either. :3

Of course, those rules all go by the wayside for my bootstrap boys. I still haven't gotten any STS out of them from Rogue Night or from Bird Star, and only one or two AGA, but I go through them often as I get more colts with the right genes, running BA on lower PT boys and tossing snips in a show barn. The intact boot colts only get a small barn, so I snip most of them. If I had a big barn I'd have far too many.... Kind of like my boot mares! Lol

I did that with all of my foundations and started 3 new GMT stallions. I say do it.
