I messaged Ammit and asked what the problem was. Her response was to post it here, so that's what I'm doing!

@CeffylDwr created me some embryos from my stallion(s)/straws, and her mares. As usual, it was going well. Until one came up saying I needed an Ice 2 license to purchase it. Thing is... neither horse has Ice 2... neither of their families has Ice 2... And neither Ceffyl or I have Ice 2. So, it's weird that an Ice 2 license is required to purchase this embryo. We've tired cancelling the order, etc, and no change.

Here are the two horses in question:

Ceffyl's mare:

G3 SNFDP Speckled Berry

My stallion:

Snow Speckles 3g SNF

*Edit! They made another embryo from the sane pairing, and it worked/sent just fine! First embryo must be possessed.

Yes, but not Ice 2. Only Ice I see in the family is Ice 8.

Snow Speckles also has Ice, but it's the Ice 8 (open gene), as well. Not the Ice 2 (closed gene).

Spry, you wanna have Ceff try and send it to me? I don't have ice 2 either, but you can see if it's something with the embryo/Ceffyl's account or something with your account that way. If it works I can try and sell it to you. If I'm not able to get it, it's not something on your end. If I am but you can't, then it's your account reacting instead of the embryo/Ceffyl's account.

Yeah, it's weird since none of them have the Ice 2 (or any closed Ice). So why we're being told Ice 2 license is required, is very strange.

Yeah, Wolveven, Speckles and Cold Days both have ice 8 which (like 5 and 1) are open for everyone. It is strange. Stud has ice 8, mare has none, and somehow the game thinks there's ice 2 involved? Really weird :))

Cold Days was GMT to ice 8. Could that have anything to do with it?

It shouldn’t, Cold Days and Speckles have had so many straws and embryos made from them and their offspring. It sounds like a one off type deal.

Wolv, since he's a foundation that's how he got the ice 8 in the first place. It passes on like any normal gene. :3

There are different types of ice, so technically the ice 8 should have nothing to do with it. For some reason, though, something is glitching out. Ice 2 shows up nowhere in the parents, which is where you'd be seeing a problem if it actually was there.

Okay so it is a bug. Your going to have to keep trying or get help cause I'm pretty sure that's a bug and nothing else then.

Yup! That's why we're pretty much just waiting on Ammit. I'm only having Ceff send it to me on a trial to try and help Ammit narrow down what she has to look at, to see if it's an account vs the embryo itself that's buggy.

Likely something glitched out with the embryo itself, especially if you got others from the same horses from Ceffyl.

Well, I got others from my boy and other mares, but since my boy is the Ice carrier, he's got some glitchy straws coming out, apparently. :))

Apparently, lol! Could also be with this exact mare for some reason. You never know what kind of weird thing could happen when one piece of code hits another just right :))

Which is weird because it didn't pop anything for an Ice 2 gene when you sent me the straw. It could also be my mare causing the issue since this is her first egg/baby but seeing as how she didn't get Ice at all from her dad (same sire as Sprys boy) I'm a wee bit curious how she could be throwing the ice issue. I'm going to guess the embryo got the Ice 8 from the sire and the game is registering it as Ice 2 for some reason which is definitely a bug.

If y’all want me to try to buy the Embryo (I have the Ice 2 license) I can try that. But it might be more helpful to Ammit to just leave it alone for now.

Since you have the license, it may not be helpful, if it let's you, due to what it's saying. If it didn't let you purchase, it's definitely the Embryo, buuuut. It might just be best to wait it out.

@Cheers we will pend Ammits answer for now as I'm hoping it's just an easy fix, though once Ammits got a look at it she might tell us to send it to someone with an Ice2 license in which case I will reach out to you :)

Kintara and Ceffyl, I’m off to France as of the 9th and will be gone for 10 or so days assuming all goes as expected. We won the trip, so none of the travel arrangements were in our control and as a result we are flying a fairly dodgy airline and it has a reputation for not necessarily making its connections....so who knows when we will get there or home? It’s gonna be an adventure! All our tickets were issued in French, which I haven’t studied for 15 or 20 years, and the airline has a reputation for speaking solely Mandarin, which neither of us speak, so just wish us luck please!

It's been a very long time since my trip to China, but here are two handy Mandarin words that you might find helpful. (It's about all I remember of the little I was able to learn, frankly.)

Hello--ninhao. The first syllable has a relatively high pitched long e and the second sounds like ow and starts low and then rises.
Thank you--xiexie. The first sounds like a soft Scottish chieh moving from a high pitch to low, the second is a short, low pitched sheh.
