What do you breed for to help the secret Santa shoppers :)
-
Figured this could be a post for when people are shopping for secret santa they can have a glimpse at what people may have available so will know who to contact.
I’ll start:
I mainly breed liver chestnut Appaloosa drafts. Most are carriers of snowflake and/or kp.
I may have available to sell for secret Santa only:
- het sf/het kp mares of various ages
- mushroom carrying liver draft breeding stock
- straws from my foundation studs: including mushroom, snowflake, kp, thunderstruck and ice 5!
- straws from most of my lined studs.
- show pony foals including: watercolour, wrong warp, thunderstruck, snowflake, macchiato.
- lots of rank specials. I’m a bit of a collecter so have most in various ages and bones.Breeding liver chestnut drafts that carry snowflake and kp.
Also breeder of mushroom, watercolour, chinchilla, splash m, wrong warp and thunderstruck.
Horses generally always available.
PM me for any enquiries.Thanked by 1KAMRanch -
I mainly breed warmbloods with a few scant riding horses and a bigger handful of drafts. I do NOT keep ponies. I dont pay much mind to bone, but do try to keep heights over 15+, with more of the herd taller.
I breed loud colored horses, most with appaloosa. I LOVE combination horses and have many of them. By that, I mean I love to see several ways I can take the genes. For example a mare with hom KP, hom SNF, het ice, het dp, het satin, etc. All on one animal.
I love sending random gifts to folks from my studs as I dont utilize them often enough. I occasionally open up the herd for eggs publically. And I like it when people sift through my herd and choose what they like.
I breed for genes:
Kit M, Sooty+, leopard app, watercolor, Kit Promoter, Snowflake, pearl, satin (struggle to find EVENLY bred generation stock), nexus, and DP. I like to dip and dabble into the public ice genes, especially ice 1 and ice 5. I think they're neat together.
I do own thunderstruck, mushroom, wrong warp, and chinchilla but dont go crazy with the genes. Watercolor is my favorite.
My next must-have is Splash M (macchiato). If my secret Santa doesnt beat me to it, that's the next gene that I'll be purchasing.
I have Foundation - G8 but my G6 - G8 are in one pasture together. I organize by genes & gens.

I mostly an dealing with my foundation appy riding ponies, getting mare 2g appy riding ponies. I'm not much a cob, WB, or SO person, so I may not have that. I also have foundation and 2g chinchillas.
But I'm breeding my 2g Silver Blue Roan RHs, my foundation drafts, foundation RHs, my 3g KP horses, some of my other random horses. I do not tend to purposely bootstrap breed. I'll also have a few ice foals available. :) Some will be DP carriers, SNF carriers, etc. If you see a horse/pony that you're not sure is available, PM me, and I'll let you know! I'll try to organize a barn specifically for SS gifts for people to buy. I'll be breedinh some random KitM horses, and other random things. If you see a horse you'd like straws from, let me know, and they might be available! :)Love,
Spry -
I only breed warmblood and draft horses
And the genes I breed for are
-pearl
-Snf
-kp
-satin -
I breed for S+, KP, SNF, some DP and most are warmblood. I also breed for Brown Appaloosas, I also have some into the possession of a number of White wedding horses that I’d be willing to part with
-
I breed warmbloods! I have a blue roan line (some with snowflake app, others solid, with Catch a Blue Moon and White Wedding broodmares also) and a silver blue chinchilla roan line (stud has sooty+ as well).
-
I focus primarily on drafts and cobs that have snowflake, pearl, DP and KP. I dabble in sooty+, macchiato mixed with watercolor, and hom DP classic champagnes.
I should have available for Secret Santa purchase:
- het & hom snowflake or KP
- het mushroom mares
- het and hom pearl mares and stallions
- sooty+ of varying bone weights
- straws from nearly all of my stallions (including closed genes axiom, watercolor, and ice 14)
- some show ponies from closed genesID# 25784 Home of quality Artylian Drafts & Cobs
Breeding little classic champagnes, pearl snowflakes with DP, KP with DP and other goodies, and axiom on pearl dilutes. -
I breed A+, satin, S+, and ice9 and dabble in At. I prefer drafts and cobs for my even lines.
My bootstrap line is more anything goes color wise, but I'm trying to breed down to 12.0 hands high.
All the colors in this game are gorgeous, but I'm trying to stay away from dun, silver, and appaloosa.
If anyone's Secret Santa likes pearl and/or wild bay drafts, PM me! I've got a barn full waiting to be gifted!ID# 43830
|<> Favorite flavors: wild bay, S+, satin, and ice 9. <>| -
I'm not picky about height or bone weight, but I want all of my horses to have at least 2 darkening genes. I breed for most of the white spotting genes, with the exception of w and w2. Pretty much everything else is fair game :)
-
I mostly have warmbloods of varying heights, and most is out of exceptional stock. I plan on offering 2g and up out of my lines, as well as straws on lines that are:
- Mushroom (dark, red based, appy)
- Splash M (dark, brown based, appy)
-Chinchilla (dark, silver, appy)
-Gulastra Plume (bay pearl)
-Kit Promoter (dun, appy)
-Plaid (some kit patterns, draft based size) -
I have all sorts of things squirrelled away in my barns and will be glad to help with SS!
I have everything from 12.3 hand tiny grullo pearl sabino sport pony boot mares to 17.3 hand Warmblood appy stallions with lots of riding ponies, drafts, cobs, and riding horses mixed in for fun, so if someone needs a specific size/bone I just might have it or be able to breed it. I create or pick up a lot of random foundation colts, mostly XPerf, brindle, or RS, that could be very shiny with a gene or two added, and have quite a few GMTable 'base' colts in many shapes and sizes I could be talked out of. :D My drafts are typical of the range in my herd with my tallest a 17.1 hand liver sabino and the smallest a black 13 hand nexus cob mare. The only colors I do not ever breed are grey and gray. Well, except for a few pointed surrogate mares and a show pony or two. ;)
My favorites are dun, appy, kit M, DP, sooty plus, pearl, brown, and sabino 2, hopefully one day all on the same horse. :D I own the watercolor gene and breed for brown dun appy watercolors actively, and just got ice 13 (YAY!) that I plan to breed into my brown lines. I also own foundie chinchilla and mushroom studs, though I seldom breed them. I have a LOT of Dark Star bred bootstraps though, tested and not, and have star colts and gold fillies/mares I would part with. I also have lots of liver and kit M, quite a few silvers, tons of app (snowcap, fewspot, blanket, leopard, minimal/varnish, and snowflake!), and all shapes, shades, patterns, and sizes of pearl with the occasional w8, w10, or ice tossed in for variety.
And I'm surely forgetting something someone will think important, so here... My stud barn is a good cross section of my herd, though my nexus, boots, and browncoats have separate barns. I have well over 120 non-bootstrap stallions, most all unique in some way, most evenly bred, and almost all passed SBA. That's how I've usually weeded them out to keep from overflowing stud barn too badly! :)

A chronic sufferer of shiny pony syndrome breeding for DP, Pearl, Brown, Nexus, and Watercolor in Appaloosa, Dun, Sabino 2, and Kit M patterns.
"God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time." -
I breed for almost pirmarily drafts, however I do have a few warmbloods, especially in my macchiato herd.
DP Herd - Mostly livers/chocolate palominos. I have Appy, Tobiano, sabino, W3, S+, and tons of pearl in it. Would be fine with getting rid of lined stock
Macchiato herd - This one is mostly a free for all, quite literally. I have a 2nd Gen liver mach boy, and a 2nd gen Enlightened Mind boy. Would also be fine with getting rid of lined stock.
Bootstrap herd - I do bootstrap as well! I have a few younger studs that are nice, but I want to keep most of my mares. Will consider letting go a few. I have SB2, S+, pearl, open ice, nexus, and a few other random genes in this herd.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
-I have (nearly) ALL the closed genes! (Just need Ice 3, 11, and 12)
-I like to breed for combinations (Chinchilla/Snowflake, Chinchilla/Ice 9, Mushroom/KP/Snowflake, etc)
-I have a pretty decent bootstrap herd
-I have so many specific lines that i breed that it's hard to put it all down lol -
I breed for warmbloods but I don’t mind drafted. No riding horses or ponies though.
I only just started my DP Bay line a couple seasons ago so I am mostly in need of Het/Hom dp Bay foundation Mares with or without fun genes. The only gene I try to stay away from completely is Appaloosa but everything else is fine.EasternShowBarn

I breed warmbloods and drafts mostly, with a line of cobs as well. While I have a lot of evenly bred horses, I probably have more who are uneven as I tend to breed for papers over gen. If you're shopping for the gen obsessed, count carefully. :)
Breeding: Rummage through my barns and you can find almost anything, but I seem to specialize in:
-Snowflake
-Bootstraps
-Liver/DP
-Mushroom
-KP
Best of all, I'll be launching some very nice GMT'd Foundie stallions within a few days. :)
I would be willing to do egg or embryos on a limited basis, depending. :)
Sales: I have quite a few SBA'd snowflake stallions I would be willing to sell. They'd look nice under the tree. :) I also have a het Ice 13 stallion who I'll be using to make super cute show ponies for anyone who doesn't have the gene but wants something festive in the barn. :) -
ChilliFireFarm has a lot of liver and some very nice star/A satin livers. Lots of W10. Mainly line bred but some are uneven. Also some mushroom. Only breeds warmbloods. Chilli may have RSs that her own SS does not want.
DinaChill is your girl if you want some bootstrap girls or boys - warmbloods or pony sized. She also has some RSs stashed away (all sizes) for SS gifts.
Dinascar does all sorts - mainly brown/black sootys with white patterns, she has Macchiato and Ice 9, some satins, DP. She too may have some RSs stashed away. She has even, bootstrap and uneven lines. She also has some nice W10, sooty+. Mainly drafts and warmbloods.
-
Rose Morning Stables has a variety of pearl (some with satin), chocolate (some with pearl or snowflake), liver (some snowflake), snowflake appaloosas, Watercolors, and nexus.
I also breed chinchilla, mushroom, and blue axiom, though none will be for sale as I have very few. Most of my horses are warmbloods and drafts with a few riding ponies and cobs.Id #: 43017
Lover of pearl, nexus, satin, liver, snowflake, axiom and chocolate ponies. <3 -
I breed liver and chocolate palomino (pearl included) for KP and SNF. I am adding kit m, w8, and w10 whenever it comes available in the RGS. My foundation stallions are either FF or GMT Black Liver Cherry drop studs.
I also have a lot of misc straws and eggs. -
I have livers and black liver warmbloods, some with Satin, W3, W10, Wm and Sb1 & Sb2 in all generations from Foundation to 8G.
-
On this account I have mostly sport and riding ponies, and warmblood. I have a foundation Nexus stud. I have some DP, KP, and white 10. I have water color foundation and 3G studs. Some pearl and het satin. Lined horses from my foundation BBTS Druid Ceremony. Any one can come through my stable and take a look!
ID 28320 -
I'm mostly a draft breeder. I bred my main mares this season but I'll be offering my side mares for SS breedings and egg pulls. I have Axiom Green and Red, Watercolour, Mushroom, Snowflake and Ice6 foundation studs that will be available for pull. I also have Liver here and there.
I tend to breed unevenly although almost all intact horses have passed SBA. There's a few mares that are being used for bootstrapping. I mainly breed for color, just throwing as many patterns as possible onto one horse, so if you want your next potential death disaster I'm the one to come to. -
Trying to stick mostly with WB besides one line of tiny riding ponies I just started. Working on WB with DP, pearl, and kitM
-
I dabble in a lot of things.
As an overall whole, gene-wise, here's what's over-represented in my barns (mostly among my bootstraps)
SNF
KP
DP
S+
pearl
satin
W8
W3
WM
My biggest line is my boostrap drafts - I have lots of satin, ice1, pearl, and kitm, with a handful of other shiny genes as they catch my attention and get thrown in. I could have gold/star drafts available for SS.
I have bootstrap RH but only a few golds, mostly blues at this point. Lots of kitm there.
My next biggest project is my SK line. That's snf/kp, though it's ended up with a lot of dp too. My foundation herd sire started with a snf/dp, and transitioned to a snf/dp/kp. My 2G is a snf/dp/kp/prl, as is my 3G. Most of the mares are therefore het for everything if not hom. I could probably have extra 2G/3G colts/fillies available that are het snf/kp/dp and SBA passed pretty easily, and a few homs in there too.
My closed gene licenses are chinchilla, ice 13, mushroom, macchiato, watercolor, nacre, and thunderstruck. Most of those are 2G/3G, and all are SBA passed. I could have up to one or two hom mushroom/dp drafts available, since that's a smaller line, het chin/SpM (also semi-smaller lines), or het wt/n/t (those are from experf foundies and SBA passed, and a slightly larger line).
I dabble in open ices, nexus, and GP.
I do not cull any of my lines based on unwanted genes, so I have a fairly diverse barn. While I dislike grey, roan, rabicano, and pangare, and therefore have less of those because I do not actively seek them out, even they can still be found in my barns in small quantities.
RS:
I collect SPWs, but I also have an extra or two of the majority of rank specials. Not sure how many of them are GMTable but it never hurts to ask.
My SPWs will be available to SS ONLY, but if you need one for the perfect GMT project for your SS and you need something specific (hom sooty or hom w20 or draft yearling colt, etc) I'd be happy to help you find the right one.
Straws are available from everything in my barns for 1k for your SS. :)ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time. -

I breed for WB appaloosas! If you see something in my barn that doesn't have appaloosa, or is draft bodied, or isn't ExPro (especially rank specials or second gens), ask me about them! 99.9% of the time I don't want them and I've just been too lazy or had no interested buyers :)
I have horses with the following closed genes (also willing to sell show ponies or spay mares!):
-Narce
-Watercolour
-Axiom Blue
-Axiom Green
-Ice 15
-Plaid
And the following opening genes:
-Nexus
-Ice 5 (though you'll have to ask me to create some of these foals because I haven't yet!)
-snowflake -
I mostly breed for snowflake drafts, though mixed with a variety of genes. Most of my stock is between foundation and 5th Generation, though I have a couple of up and coming G6s around. I have a couple of hom and het snowflake brindles about as well.
DP
KitM
W3
Pearl
Silvers
Sable champagne
Mushroom (closed)
Macchiato (closed)
-
Mostly brown and bay based DP in all sizes and styles but also have livers. I have lots of silver, champagne, pearl. Also sooty+, Snowflake, mushroom, chinchilla, macchiato in my even lines. I have most of those plus satin in my bootstrap lines.
I am offering straws at heavily discounted prices, can make embryos, have a barn full of stallions i could sell, and of course probably have young breeding stock. Just let me know what you need.#28036 -
I breed even RH. I don't bootstrap (I tried, but really wasn't good at it.)
I have mostly foundation and second generation because I just restarted my lines. I breed for:
Appy in: liver, brown, buckskin, bay
mixed with: silver, sabino 1 and 2, sooty plus, DP, macchiato, KP, some snowflake (all het so far).
Fantasy lines: Axiom blue, green, and red, thunderstruck (very limited), nacre, ice 5 and 8 (8 is very limited)- i just restarted my ice lines, ice 15, nexus, macchiato (splash m), watercolor (mixed with ice 9 or het watercolor), mushroom (some will be het snowflake and het KP for second gen, some will be hom KP, but they are very limited), chhinchilla (second gen is hom KP), wrong warp (somewhat limited).
I can make embryos for you or breed a pair for you. Pull straws from breeding stock and pull eggs from some mares. I have many KP foundations. (Most have closed genes.)
Just let me know what you need and I will try and help. ID 39558 -
Hi, I breed a little of everything. I have mostly warmbloods and drafts, put have picked up some riding horses. I have KP, Snowflake, Satin as well as some pearl and dp. I have straws available for these colors.
I also have the open Nexus, Ice 1, Ice 5 and Ice 8 for straws and maybe some foals.
In closed genes I have Ice 2, Ice 4, Ice 6, Ice 13 and Splash M. I have some very nice A papered 2G colts I would part with for Secret Santa
I will go through my horses in the next few days and put all horses for sale in a barn and post it
If I can help let me know, #638 -
I also do a lot of everything. Mostly darker colors though. Vast majority are RH and draft. Preference to taller horses.
also half a significant amount of closed genesBreeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses. -
Black based dun with dp, sooty plus and or gp(het so far basically)
Also have a line defended from Kings Ransom horses, so get interesting colors from that -
You can find almost anything in my barns, though I have the largest selection of DP. I have mostly smaller warmbloods/ponies and drafts/cobs.
Origins of the lines
- Silver bay GMTed Freaky Friday, with no frame, rabicano, tobiano, sabino 1 and splash, cob
- Silver bay GMTed Freaky Friday, still has one copy of frame, and w3, pony
- Pearl GMTed Better Brindle Breakout, warmblood
- Cherry Drop GMTed homozygous sooty, draft
- Blue roan pony
- Spiked Eggnog pony
- Chestnut Better Brindle Breakout, draft, willing to sell
Other genes
- SNF
- Macchiato (Splash M)
- Any DP
- Nexus
- Grey (please take them, I don't use them)
- S+
- KitM
- Appaloosa
The majority of my horses are marked by generation by roman numerals. I breed foundation through 6G currently. I also have some higher generation stock marked "UE". -
I breed for Grullo. With all sorts of white patterns covered in Ice (1&8)
I avoid roan and Appy although here’s a few in my herd.
Evenly bred lines up to 7th Gen I think. -
Evenly bred up to 4g
Hom snf kp livers
Starting a silver blue roam line -
I only breed riding ponies. The smaller the better! But anything 14.2 and under works. :)
I also only breed consistent horses with the very rare exception, and I don't think I included that on my SS notes. Inconsistent is fine for show ponies though!
I prefer darker versions of each colour, so I tend to breed for horses with at least two darkening genes (Ssty, S+, DP). One is all right if the horse is special in another way, but none is a bit of a problem. I love S+, it's my favourite!
I like pretty much all colours, but I'm not wild about champagne and actively avoid grey. I like all patterns except splash. Dapples rock! I've been really digging sabino lately. I would absolutely love to get a snowflake line going, hint hint. No colour preference (Except Ch or grey), but sty, S+, DP are always always always winners. I just bred a B het snf colt this year who I think will pan out for me, so known het or hom Yellow or Red mares would be fantastic!
I currently have:
A chocolate palomino/liver line (adding more S+ here would be great!)
A DP/S+ silver bay/brown/buckskin line. I need more DP and S+ here!
A pearl line which is more of a side project.
Then I just have a hodgepodge of mares who don't fit into any one breeding project, I just breed them to strive towards the best quality.
