Mystic, thanks for putting Court Jester up again! I feel like I have a ton of his get on the ground, and I can't wait till my three year old mares by him come of age next year. I got a few more nice ones this year as well.

Your more than welcome to straws Confluence :) my heart isn't really into the KP thing as I'm into satin and still haven't found a 5G mare. :(( , I also only have one 4G mare which also doesn't help , need to start hoarding 4g and 5g mares :P

This may be a silly question but how does one tell if it is Satin? I was looking at Train Tracks they just look lighter than usual.

You can't tell if a horse is heterozygous satin just by looking at them. Shes color tested and her sire is homozygous satin. But when homozygous they get the super shiny kinda iridescent look. Depending on what other genes are at play some show up better than others.

Best--they look no different when they are heterozygous but when they are homo for it they look shiny... like this kid.

They are gorgeous. May have to think about getting one in the future possibly. Like a homozygous mare to cross. Are there any foundation stains or are they just lined bred?

I think most are bred from generations with pearl / satin, foundations can be GMT'D for the satin gene :)

Best i have a couple foundation stallions who are het for satin. It's one of the most expensive genes in the game at 40 GMTs per copy. I would sell you a couple straws if you would be interested. Look at Weekend Wishes and Uluru Reflections and their babies and let me know what you think.
