  • So I'm sitting here with a broken back and have a lot more time on my hands. Fell off my trusty pony I've foxhunted for years, I've been riding for 25 years and have fallen maybe 4 times total? Go figure! It's been miserable with pain so I've been reading like crazy, servicing my customers and accounts on the computer, and have been on here a lot! Considering upgrading but my expenses have been through the roof. Just might have to, though!!! This is a very interesting game for sure and all of you have been welcoming, thank you!

Anyway, I've been looking through here and so many of you are incredibly helpful and great at explaining things! So I am sorry if I have missed this explanation somewhere. I was under the impression genes were dominant or recessive - AA or aa, or Aa. What does it mean for gene expression when you have aA or eE, for example? I just bred this foal and he seems pretty brown, was hoping for a dark bay. He happens to be eE.

    Thanks!!!! :)

  • Also, if I was to upgrade to a basic account for 3 months (I'd like to do a trial first), would I lose the 75 stall barn if I was to discontinue the basic account? How does that work?
    Thanks!!!!!! :)
  • Ee means the exact same thing as eE. The first letter is what the foal inherited from its sire, the second is from its dam. Your foal looks like a bay - if you'd like him darker then consider adding sooty or DP to your lines.

Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you have a speedy recovery!

  • Ohhhh got it. What a great explanation. Thank you so much!!!! :)
  • @Hunter39, regarding your upgrade question, if you were to upgrade to the Basic membership and let that membership expire the 75 stall primary barn would convert back to the number for the free account (25? I can't remember). You will not lose any horses with the downsizing but, until the horses are moves to another barn or pasture, you will not be able to move horses into your primary barn. I hope that helps clear it up for you. :)
