I've come to love the combination of Nexus and snowflake, but it does have a distinct disadvantage: you can't enroll the horse in the snowflake breeder's club to confirm if it has snowflake. And, I've discovered, differentiating Het Nexus sparkles from hom snowflake flakes is not easy. I'm trying to develop an eye for this but am curious if anyone else is doing similar!

This young fellow, for instance, is challenging me. I'm not aware of the mare carrying snowflake, but I feel like this foal has a combination of both. I would love some second opinions, though!

I'm going to say he is snowflake....Nexus spots seem to have more of a blur around them and snowflake has crisp"er" spots.

This is a hom snf/het nx filly on my other account. I would guess yours is also hom snf/het nx.

Thank you both - that's a good rule of thumb! I really was suspicious, but I had a hard time believing I was lucky enough to have a het SNF Vault of Stars hiding in my herd! He'll make a lovely little show pony for me!
