Percentage on stalls
-
Hey there. I was wondering what the percentage you pay on stalls is all about. I went under IV Shopping and where it tells you your amount of stalls, it also gives a % you pay. I was at 3%, I bought 2 15 Stall burns and now I'm out 4% I figured the % would go down
-
After you reach 1000 non primary stalls, you pay an increasing percentage on each barn purchase you make. I’m currently at 1950 non primary barn stalls, and will pay an additional 16% on my next barn purchase. Depending on which size barn you purchase will determine how much your % increases for your next purchase.Thanked by 1CollectingColts

what's the percentage based on?
A 15 Stall barn will cost more Ivs in the future? -
Eventually, yep. It's to prevent bigger barns from growing at an insanely exponential rate as their show bonus increases.
I have 3310 non primary stalls, and I pay an extra 39%. That's enough to make a 15 stall barn cost 6 IVs, a 30 cost 13, 60 cost 27, 90 cost 41, 120 cost 55, 210 cost 97, and 1000 cost 462.
However, I'm also making almost 4 IVs a night, so I could still buy around 4 15 stall barns in one week just from nightly bonus if I was still using 15s. It makes it sit at a rate where I still have to save up for the sizes I want (90+) rather than buying them quick like that.ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!

ohhh I see
Thank you both. I learn something new almost everyday on here. -
I buy a lot of 15 stalls for my show horses, that's why I may not have seen an increase til now
-
I did that a lot when I first started, bought the 15 and 30 stall barns. But about 2 months ago I saved up and sold back all of my barns and purchased only the 120 stall barns. It made my organizing so much easier.

As one of those huge barns (I have more than 13k non primary barn stalls) I pay more than 200% more per new barn purchase now. It’s part of why I run show pony give away—to slightly reduce my need to buy more barns as they aren’t exactly inexpensive with real cash and they’re now quite outrageous with game money. I bought a new 1000 stall barn in the sale this weekend and already have nearly 200 new baby show ponies in it with more pastures to cull still. I am going to reach a point relatively soon here where I have to start dumping older show ponies in the auction because I can’t keep buying more barns....

@Cheers, what number does that mean the cost of a 1000 stall barn would be for you in IVs?ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!

That, by the way, is exactly what Ammit wants to happen to help keep the game economy good. I am totally supportive of this method. It has been speculated that the percentage increase rate may go up at some point in the future to help keep the game economy solid. I think it’s a great way to keep the game running, plus it incentivizes me to purchase barns with real money which can only be good for our goddess and I’m all about her being able to pay her bills so she can keep the game running!

1002 IVs for a thousand stall barn.
-
Holy cannoli Batman, that’s a lot of IVs!!
-
My account looks like this:
You have 5505 non primary barn stalls
You pay an extra 75% on stalls.
1000 stall barn now costs me 582 Iv's.
Cheers has a much larger stable than I do, and I have over 2k horses.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

For perspective, I make about 42 IVs/night in Show Bonus.

@Sandycreek I have 2000 breedable mares in pasture!

Who was that Aussie girl that was going to cut WAAAY back? Hmmm.....whatever happened to her?!? :P

Although, I have suspicions it’s actually a pixel pony demon.
-
Hahaha thanks much.

Yep as cheers said that is exactly as planned. It encourages big barns to sell show horses to smaller ones, keeps them from growing too insanely, makes there a reason to even buy barns with real money etc. It is working great! :D
