  • @NxtLevelGen my two are pitbulls! Such sweet babies! We just celebrated their Gotcha days.
    Player ID 37457
    Home of Gypsian Drafts
Breeding for Watercolor, Axiom, KP, Snowflake, Macchiato, Silver Blue Roan, Pearl, and Whatever else catches my attention
  • First name: Lyss
Where do you live: At the moment Titusville, FL across the lagoon from NASA and yes I can see the assembly building and do see it every morning as I drive to work.

Favorite Animals: Hmm okay this is going to be a long minute.
    Favorite Land Animal: Horse
Favorite Animal of the Sea: Orca (forever and always and no I am not for the stopping of breeding at SeaWorld but that is my own opinion, and I will not talk about it here.. I am also NOT a fan of the movie Blackfish)
    Favorite Cat: African Leopard

    Favorite Color: Auburn Orange

First horse: Cricket, a 15hh chestnut quarter horse. I loved her so much I didn't ride as much as I wanted but she loved me regardless. She also gave me my best horsie friend Scandal when she bred to our then stallion.

Favorite thing about the game: Experimenting and being able to reset when your goals change. The genetic tinkering is a nice perk as well.

Something you dislike: Not being able to see a mini version of the horse's photo in tile mode. That every horse is conformationally perfect and that all horses die after 20 yrs.

Favorite drink: Pepsi with cherry vodka in it. For the under 21 crowd Dr. Pepper.

Pets: No pets that live with me currently as I do not have time, but I do have one dog named Jasper living with my grandma in Arizona they say he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, but I do not believe that he looks more like a lab/shepherd mix.

Hobby: Photography, specializing in wildlife, nature, and horses. I especially like photographing birds for their own unique challenges as well as insects. I also am learning to shoot horses at events like Eventing and horseracing.
Some of my photos. I have an instagram account as well as a facebook. I don't post often but they're there. Both can be searched under PhotographicSafari.

I love to read the last book I read was the newest Dan Brown/Robert Langdon book, Origin, wasn't a fan of the subject, but I love the Robert Langdon series.

Watching my favorite online show safariLive which is live and interactive 3hr safari based in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve within the Kruger National Park and the Mara Triangle in Kenya. It can be viewed on YouTube and ask questions via Twitter. They are responsible for my love of African leopards. :)

Fun Facts: I am 28 years old. I volunteer at a rescue/retirement facility for retired Thoroughbreds from the track. I have driven through and visited roughly 30 states. I am part of a co-owners club for racehorses meaning I own a percentage of certain horses that are currently racing for our stables.

I am going to school now to get my AA before transferring to UF in Gainesville to pursue a double major in Zoology and Equine Science. My zoology will focus on African leopards, and equine will focus on Thoroughbreds and other racing breeds. I want to open my facility someday to retire, rehab, retrain and rehome. My zoology goals may determine when I can do that because I want to go to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya to study and document the leopard population as it is poorly researched and thus little is known about them. The more aware of the numbers in that open system, the better we can educate the local tribes to keep them and their animals safe without retaliating against the leopards.

  • First name: Caroline
Where do you live: Alberta, Canada
Favorite Animal: I am not good at picking favourites but horses, wolves, and moose are pretty high up there.
Favorite Color: Black, any shade of green.
First horse: GullWing (aka Gully) a rescued OTT Thoroughbred who was the love of my life. When my parents divorced my mum had to sell him because we couldn’t get by. It is still one of the greatest heartbreaks of my life and I think about him daily.
Favorite thing about the game: The amazing community.
Something you dislike: Not being able to organize and move horses around pastures like barns.
Favorite drink: Almost any type of hot tea (black/green/rooibos/herbal), iced tea (sweet tea for you Americans), scotch and mead.
Pets: All rescues: Orion my pit bull, Gwydion my silver blue DSH cat, Kali my little black DSH cat, Ophis a boa constrictor, Radar a normal corn snake, Lotus and Winter my blizzard corn snakes.
Hobbies: I am a bookaholic, I love photography (I am just a hobbyist and haven’t posted anything publically in years but you can find some of my old stuff Here), I am an avid gamer (mostly fantasy RPG). I prefer PC gaming but am stuck with my PS3 since I can’t afford to upgrade my desktop right now and it drives me nuts and I refuse to buy a PS4. Even so… video games tend to bore me quickly the only game series I have managed to play through to completion is the Dragon Age series, although Red Dead Redemption 2 has kept my interest so far. I love tabletop gaming and roleplaying and have played D&D, Rifts, GURPS, Pathfinder, WhiteWolf, and a plethora of homebrew for many, many years. My old group used to game at least twice a week and I miss them so much. I am also a rockoholic, I collect semi-precious stones and have a cumulative mineral collection that is probably worth somewhere in the tens of thousands by now (this is what happens when you don’t buy your kids ponies people!). I love the outdoors, hiking, snowshoeing, canoeing, scuba diving, camping, etc but my lungs have not been great the last few years and I have not been able to get out like I used to, causing me to gain significant weight. I am also an avid gardener and love all things growing and green. I will fanatically geek out on anything that I am interested in.
As much as a passion as horses are, they have not been part of my life for almost a decade now. I grew up being trained in Hunter Seat Equitation and Jumping. Through most of highschool I worked on a western trail riding ranch and worked as a groom and nanny for my landlord/trainer who was a backup for the Canadian Olympic Eventing Team. She also introduced me to the Fox Hunting world (though they only participated in drag hunts. Being the “fox” was so much fun!) Many years later I had the amazing opportunity to have worked with some phenomenal people in the field of Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy in Arizona and if I could afford to pursue that as a living I would in a heartbeat.

Fun Facts: I am your quintessential (stereotypical) crazy Canadian. I live (and absolutely love living) in a place where winter temps routinely dip below -40 C/F. Winter is my favourite time of year. Cold does not seem to affect me like the average individual and I have phenomenal circulation. One of my favourite winter pastimes is to hike out in the woods in subzero temps to lay in the snow and look at the stars (my favourite temps to do this in are -20C and colder) I find the experience extremely cathartic. I tend to do this in stupid clothing like just a wool jacket and jeans.
In the past, I lived for just over three years in an old house with only a wood stove for heat, a finicky generator for electricity, and a well that used to freeze in the winter time. Working with sleddogs was part of my daily routine for a while and I have helped out in training for dogs that have run races such as The Canadian Challenge and Yukon Quest and the Iditarod. I have worked in many forms animal and wildlife rescue and have had the pleasure to work with animals from all walks of life including quite a few high content wolf hybrids.
I am a certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher and trained as a Firefighter in the past before a serious Achilles injury prevented me from making a career out of it.
I was present for “The Beast” a wildfire which was cause for one of the largest evacuations in Canadian history and that is why my lungs are not great anymore.
    I am extremely wordy ;)
