  • I'm going to go again!

Mostly cry, but some brag too.

After I got insulted in class.... I got to the barn to relax only to find that my horse is lame again. So I was hungry and told Mom I was going for a snack, and she reminded me that I needed to get something small. The words itself were fine, but that's a very touchy subject between us right now, as she basically told me only skinny people win at horse shows..... She said something else that was fine on the surface, but I was already upset, so it made me cry.... Then I got to ride the mare that I used to ride quite a bit, 3/4 TB appendix quarter horse mare who hadn't been ridden in a year, and only had one shoe that was about to fall off (please no negative comments on how smart I was to ride her with only one shoe), but I did take it slow and just lunged her the first day, and the second day she got her shoes back on. She was SO good. Then my plan was to go to my Dad's house and we could ride to my archery competition together. But my Mom convinced me that that was very stupid of me, because I HAVE to help her with the house (we're getting kicked out of the house, but she has been moving months before we were even supposed to leave! And she didn't ask me the day before. Just told me that I WAS going to). So she took me to archery cometition, and I had an overall higher score for the day of 11 points higher than before. But of course I keep my bow with the school bows, but my bow was hidden in a cardboard box, so instead of my full weight right handed bow, I competed with a random low weight left handed bow we had.... Then my Mom and I ate lunch with her boyfriend (also our vet, who then came to look at my mare). So we ended up not working on the house anyway. I tried to call my only (vaguely) local friend vaguely near my age who lives about 2 hours away. But Mom was still there when I was talking to her so I didn't feel free to "vent". Then Mom got upset that I wasn't hangind the clothes on the line (which is a chore I'm happy to do) except I was already late to go to my Dad's house, and I was busy talking with my friend who I haven't talked to in MONTHS. But then I had to end the call early anyway because we got an oppurtunity to ride with Doc to a colic. (Another side story I forgot to mention earlier, but since I'm a senior in high school I've been casually looking for a truck I could afford to pull my horse with if I go to a college far away (might go to the local community college for two years as well). Anyhoo, Mom's old friend found a clunker for me for 2,000$ but its only a half ton.... Then I saw this truck out of the corner of my eye for sale on my way to the barn. I came back to it, and it was newer/nicer/stronger/bigger/better/more expensive than I thought it was, and I fell in LOVE no way I could afford it), but after the colic I made Mom and Doc stop by and look at the truck. I was hoping they would find something wrong with the truck so I would feel better about not being able to afford it, but they just agreed with me and found more reasons the truck was awesome. Including that its an 04 but only has 83,000 miles! And its a diesal. And four wheel drive so when I'm all alone in Colorado at college I can have four wheel drive. So now I feel REALLY bad that I can't afford it. This is two days later now and I still can't stop thinking about that truck. The next morning I was talking to my two favorite teachers (who are both the ag teachers.) The one has an old dodge, and he's like "eh its a ford", and the other one i thought I had convinced to buy it. He would even let me drive it around the block as "finder's fee". But then he changed his mind. Then my Dad had some good advice, but still didn't really help saying that the truck is a good reason to go to Stanford and get a 110,000$ job.... (He's obsessed with Stanford but I'm not quite good enough to go there). Then I could buy whatever I want just for the reason that I want it. Then that afternoon I had my easiest college math class ever.... Then I played a prank on one of my ag teachers. (He takes a community college class at the same time as me. I left him a present on his truck..... (Just a magnetic sticker with our logo)). But today I feel great, and think that I have the PERFECT gift for Clearwater.... let me go get it)
