I'm pretty sure you lose the slot....I think all the tattoos I've bought I've paid 10k hbs for the slot and then whatever I agree with the artist for the art on top of that. I know when I bought most of my tattoos I paid in eggs or straws rather than game cash (besides the 10k)...so if you want to get into doing tattoos for other players please remember that those things may be viable currency as well.

I just create a new slot and go from there. That's why I ask that I be paid up front, so I can buy the new slot. I don't know about selling an existing slot, never checked it out.

We got it sorted out. :) Yes, working out some of the kinks, but I am willing to do tattoos for other players.

For any newer players who may be reading this thread and wondering how a tattoo gets sold to the person it was created for, this is how:

The tattoo creator goes to the Tattoo Registry. In the box for each tattoo, there is a place to insert the ID number of the person it is being sold to and a place to insert the price. The creator of the tattoo scrolls to the tattoo to be sold and fills in that information and clicks to "Sell this tattoo."

Then the buyer of the tattoo will go to the Tattoo Registry for her or his own stable and go to the bottom of the page. At the very bottom of the page any tattoos that are being offered for sale to that player will show up, along with the purchase price. Click on "Buy this Tattoo" (or however it is exactly phrased). The hajibucks will change hands, and the tattoo will show up in the buyer's tattoo registry and be available for use on all horses.
